Derrick, Rob & Paul at Bath Rythm Fest (06 Aug. 2009)
Hey there!
I'm just back from England where I spent 3 fantastic days: I've done 2 awesome Keziah Jones gigs (Jazz Café & Tate Britain!), and went to a Jamiroquai masterclass, held at the Bath Spa University!
First, Derrick did a demonstration, during 15 min. Then there has been a Q&A session, about the gear he uses, about writing with Jamiroquai, about the new album: Hopefully, it will be finished & given to the new label in september... First single in november, & album in december/january 2010... & an extensive tour for march/april 2010, in Europe, Asia, South America... Everywhere! Derrick even mentioned the title of a new track, but I can't remember the name.
Then he was joined by Paul & Rob, for a Jamiroquai masterclass. They played instrumental version of Jamiroquai tune (Canned Heat, Runaway, If I Like It I Do It > Funky Jam, Space Cowboy, High Times), and jammed a lot!
There's been another Q&A session with those 3 guys... Really funny & instructive...
Great afternoon!

So much violence!
I'm sorry about that... But it doesn't matter. We'll know that sooner or later!
I forgot to say that they recorded 35 songs for this album... (!!!) _________________ Max. |

35 tracks !!! Wow !!!
I guess most groups record at least double as many songs than actually make it to the final release. However I can half hope that they will release a 4 x vinyl gatefold album.Ohh... just imagine that, nice. That really would be one special Christmas evn if we did have to wait until January / February. _________________ Music, music and more funkin' music |
