Gettin' Proggy (Prog, Psych, Fusion... It's all Good)
So I just came across some ole songs that might be classified as Prog, Psych, or Fusion related Rock.

Here's some of the stuff I was listening to via youtube:

Recommend a track or something! Jazzier or funkier, the better. Also, anything with lots of flute in it would be great.

If you like flute, go for Jethro Tull! My favourite Tull album is Thick as a Brick.

Another band which also likes to use the flute is the Dutch band Focus.

Mmm, that's a thick album. I really like that flute bit in that Hocus Pocus vid. Speaking of Focus, I just got the self titled album Jan Akkerman yesterday. The whole thing is great, but Angel Watch & Streetwalker are really good.

If you dig 70´s progression with loads of flute Camel is the band for you. They may be more rocky than jazzy or funky but they do some great vibe transitions.

For instance, listen to the bridge at 1:27, pure prog.

I recommend you go through "mirage" or "snowgoose", 2 absolute masterpieces. Andrew Latimer is a god and Camel are/were a hyper underrated band that deserved same recognition as Pink Floyd and others.

I'm so feeling this! Great progressions and flute playing. And yes, that transition after 1:27 possesses beautiful Rhodes playing! Thanks for a new band for me to get into. Very Happy

Good suggestion Vintage. Camel is a band I've only listened to lightly. I always enjoyed this track:
