Seven Days in Sunny June -- weird edit
Ok, so this is really random, and maybe it's been discussed before, but I just noticed it...

In the music video for Seven Days in Sunny June, and I guess maybe in some radio versions, they edit out the word "bomb" over and over again. What's that about? Is that a dirty word somewhere?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FRSH-egVyzk

It's particularly weird since it's sort of a rhyming word in the chorus. Reminds me of how they edited out "cheeba" in the US radio version of Space Cowboy, but at least in that case it's an unambiguous references to weed. What's up with this one? Anyone know? I'm just curious.

If you buy the album (cd) I believe it's still on it.

the Jamiroquai Vevo edits it, which I believe is linked to Jamiroquai.
So maybe to show anti-violence, or concern for those sensitive to bomb references.

to me it's just a figure of speech Laughing

There was a released promo, with the cut on the BOMB word.
Guess, they didn't want any connection with ISIS... Smile

It's because the album came out in The UK on June 20 and the Subway terrorist attacks were on July 7 & 21. Out of respect and sensitivity radio stations edited the word out.

It's been edited in light of the 2005 London subway bombing.

Not sure why it surfaced years later, but at least we know he says bomb and could probably find another version of it.
