Jamiroquai to Viña 2005? What do you think?
Hello Jamirotalkers,

I found a forum on the web where people started talking about if Jamiroquai should be on Viña 2005, a music festival held every year in Chile, I think:

Link Arrow http://foros.canal13.cl/tema.pl?id=69973

Everything is in spanish but the main post says:
'In the last few years, many artists that really don't sing much -DJ Mendez, Camilo Sesto- came to the festival of Viña. However, there are artists that have fame in several festivals -Montreux Jazz Festival, Glastonbury, Woodstock, Festimad, and much more that I cant remember- all over the world. That is the case of the british band Jamiroquai, who should be on the scene of Viña since it's a band that can play live and they love to, and they are known all over the world. Hoping my proposal has good welcome from the people who organize this festival. Thanks very much'.

What do you think? They should or they shouldn't be?

I don't think they've been in Chile in a while! But it sounds like a good idea. Cool setup for the stage, it kind of looks like one of the AFO sets, just green.

Hope it works out! Smile

Hi,

I was amazed when I saw this topic. Viña del Mar Festival, is the most famous music festival ay my country. Lamentably, the TV channel who got the rights for the direction and broadcasting of it, got involved on the F***** romancing and the pop music. I'm so interested in this, if it would be work (last year Kool & Th Gang played there) but we need more insistent if wish, Canal 13 contract Jamiroquai to play live.

Got topic, Diego.

Have a Didgin', Nicolás Cool

Diego,
Just think if both EWF and Jamiroquai showed up? You'd be in heaven lol. With EWF being there, do you plan on goin to Chile to see it? How difficult/expensive would that be for you to accomplish?

Kind of joke
Ehem....Jamiroquai to Viña del Mar Festival? I have nothing against the festival, but I don't think that gig has the right atmosphere for Jami to play there. If you tell me about some Latin group or artist, that's Ok, but not for Jami.
Do you imagine the face of Jay looking at...Raphael singing in the stage?
I do...and it's pretty funny, trust me.

Kisses to all

Noe
