I want to show you some pics of Marlin, playing drums and congas.
When I showed Sola those pics he wrote back a very sweet email, I want to share with you, because I am so happy, and because he sent greetings to you all!
Marlin, 4th birthday, when he got his drums!
The amazing thing is, that he is not just making noise....
No, he is playing real rhythms.
Marlin, last week at his 6th birthday, with new congas!
He is standing on a stool, btw...otherwise he couldn't really reach the congas! lol

i love percussions and it's an amazing feel we have when we are performing... the way i play congas and timbal are very different we are used to hear with Sola, or another percussionists, because my performance is based in Salsa and Latin Jazz, but i can easily play for Funk. Marlin really looks great in those pair of congas... he really has a black soul inside him, as me, and as a lot of percussionists!! i love it!!
