What a news
Oh Meike!! Now I'm torn between going or not going. It is sooo expensive - 130 Euro!!! (because it's for 2 days) and you won't get a ticket for only one day. And in 2002 it was so cold and rainy and Jay didn't love playing there (it seemed to me...)
Why can't they come to a smaller festival!!!
And me and my family planned a little holiday on Pfingsten.....
Let's wait and see.... |

Hello,
Hmmm, boy that must be the best and most varied bandlist I have read in a while, looks like EVERYONE will come happy from those gigs ! Hard to believe they could all those bands for those gigs, I hope Meike and the whole JamiroTalk.net from the European bloc meet up again for "B-Liveesque" reunion of the "Jamily"! I was wondering too about that, like EvoV, how is the view at those gigs, too far OR pretty good? Thanks for listening and the info, very exciting pair of gigs there!
Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000 _________________

Yes, I know - for all these bands it's not too expensive!! I was on "Rock am Ring" several times now - there are fantastic bands every year but these 2 days just kill you So many people on not much space and all drunk or drugged or both And unfortunately the last years it was really cold and rainy - oh I should stop moaning
I'm afraid I'm just too old for it now |

there are two festivals at the same weekend (2.-4. June) with the same bands playing - they just swap the place. So, there will be two Jamiroquai concerts at the weekend - one in Nürnberg and one at the Nürburgring - which is near Köln.
In 2002 I was so crazy to go to both festivals, togther with CosmicBear.
Alltogether we travelled 1500 km!
I just found our enthusiastic reviews from that weekend in 2002. Wow!! I had so much energy to write loooong reviews... it's definitely worth a read for those who haven't been around since 2002!
Reviews from Rock am Ring and Rock im Park 2002:
http://www.jamirotalk.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1126#1126
I remember me saying in 2002 that I won't do such a trip again for two festival gigs - because full concerts with only Jamiroquai fans around you are way better - but... well, I think I will try to go to at least one of the festivals this summer. I just HAVE to!!
Which one? Well, it depends on what day they are playing on which place... they haven't announced it yet. Both places are more than 400 km away from my home, so I dunno... I will keep you updated, just in case you wanna meet me!

Oh, and I forgot to say: each festival is 3 days, not 2. And as far as I know the prize of 130 EURO includes the camping place. The people go there and sleep in their tents next to the venue. If it's not raining this could be really funny!
Let me know if you need more information!
