My back up 8 MP camera failed, and it's giga card is not compatible with the format of my other ' 9T YONS' camera so I couldn't use it for that either. Although I had enough extra batteries for both, I could only use my 6 mega pixela YONS (spelled backwards) camera, and the conservation of memory was necessary to last the whole concert.

Believe me I'm disappointed too that the videos are short. But I cheated the security frisk, and made an arrangement with the security guards on the stage barrier to turn a blind eye. At one point cameras were being confiscated. I was asked twice to check my camera with the holding bay, and said I would do it in a minute - LOL !!!

Many other people produced their cameras during the concert. The lovely Australian bloke Seamus and his girlfriend were sitting next to my son, and when she saw me pull TWO cameras out of my trousers, she laughed so much she choked on her drink !!! Fun people they were. He was the second concert goer to turn up on the day - a whole four hours after us !!!

Did you spot the 'Sir' JK look - a - like in the 'Crowd' video. I took him out to the back of the bleachers way back to photograph him. He's Phill from Watford, working in Dubai. He was in a different area to me, and he and I were both asked by press and Reuters video to pose for them, but they also asked me to dance for their video journalist !!! LOL !!!

Matt's solo was amazing for this bit where I stood on my chair and panned the crowd, and then the couple at the end, were the nicest people and they too knew how to have a good time unlike many stiffos who took half the evening to warm up. They were nice enough to suggest to photograph AA and myself during the concert, nice gesture. His name was Cyrille, but he gave me his email wrongly sadly, so I'm having difficulty getting his photos to him.

Paul worked hard the whole evening, and watch him tighen that left shoulder and hit those strings !!! Such a nice man, I had to tell him that we think he's fitting in great and doing a good job, and that we are supporting him equally - he said he was relieved and happy and that he was anxious to begin with when he read the doubtful viiibes on the sites.

the biggest and maybe the best file so far

http://rapidshare.de/files/18525012/MV.MPG

Matt's bobbing his head, Rob's deep in concentration and 'Sir' JK wiggles that @ss, then pings the jacket, fixes the headgear, strikes the fingers, and the transition is so funky, and watch Paul get mean, and Sam just goes wild.

You can barely see Sola and Derrick as always, but they were funking their gorgeous little hearts out !!!

You have no idea how hard it was to keep still while I filmed this !!! LOL !!!

ja, ja, ja Oh yeah, the security guard Ehab, let me tell you about Ehab.

Ehab is a very 'soft' and nice, decent boy from Egypt. As part of gig tactics and a natural result of being there long before security turn up, I always make friends with the beefs up front.

Ehab was one of only three men in charge of the front barrier. There was a grassy space of eight metres between my front row seats and the barrier. Ehab and his two associates Ahmed (Lebanese) and Mahmood (Jordanian) arrived around 17:30 hrs, and were wearing orange tshirts like the rest of the organizers' workerforce. Then Nokia distributed white tshirts with their logo on. The men had to change on the spot, which made for some cheap entertainment for us 'Clit Queens'. Especially when they all undid their trousers to tuck the tshirts in !!!

Cheap thrills aside . . .

Turns out Ehab's brother works in the town of my residence Taif, which is on the opposite side of the Arabian Penninsula (2300KMs away). So we exchanged mobile numbers in case he needs a favour ever or red tape put aside.

Ahmed made a snide comment earlier in the day, and I had to pull cultural rank on him to set him straight. After that he knew where he stood literally, and I took a little naughty revenge on him later. Turns out he was also rather 'forward' with our new forum poster Dubai Rock's friend. But he definately upset her. I wish I had known at the time because I would have made him apologise . . . and at his age too, he was no spring chicken !!!

Mahmood was a very homely man, who missed his family and begrudged having to work away from home, but in pursuit of his 'daily bread' was content to continue as he did.

The boys warned me early on that they had instructions to confiscate cameras and I promised them that my disrection would not compromise their work duties. We took some pictures earlier in the afternoon:

These boys were moved backstage around the area where the band were. The promoter was having kittens and in a right frazzle, and were being a little 'over reative'. They kept the group of thirty concert goers (note I didn't describe them as fans), whom they originally selected to meet the band waiting for quite some time. They seemed to think that everyone was only interested in meeting 'Sir' JK. As we were standing there, I couldn't control myself as Derrick, Matt and Rob were hanging about looking 'bored' !!! So I got some quality time in with them before my meeting with 'Sir' JK.

So although I respected the wishes of the promoter, my security threesome were powerless to stop me from breaching their line, and I took my son and friend Isobel in with me to chat with Paul and Lorraine, Hazel and Sam.

Ehab was so kind, when it was all over about an hour and a half later, he offered to drive us back to our hotel from the Media City which was about a 40 minute drive out of town. Naturally we declined, but it's the thought that counts.

So, a well deserved slap on the back for Ehab !!! *** THUD ***

Yeah, there's a bit of everything in that last video.

OK -

Prepare youselves for something different, the next videos are POOR QUALITY. They were taken with the other camera that I had difficulties with. The quality is grossly different and likewise the sound recording too.
I apologise for this, but it's a little bit of gig history none the less.

THANK YOU, for your understanding and patience in the ULing and quality and length of the videos.

That is the lot. I am now going into a 'reclusive aura' to write the mother of all concert reviews. I'm trying to get the other people whom I made good friends with to submit their views, comment, pics and reports.

I shall return . . .
