Remembering the good times
Today is the first day I stop to watch last Jami gig in Buenos Aires and I couldn't stop comparing that one with the previous one in 1999.
My conclusions were:

1) Last one having the BVs was better than the previous 'cos it helped Jay to sing (sometimes he just can't get the tone Confused )

2) 1999 one was better than the last one 'cos it had the "wind" section and Wallis

3) Last one was better 'cos we had no seats and we jumped and danced FREE

4) 1999 sound was FAR better

5) Last one, we listened to a better bass player (Nick sucked, right?)

I wonder, my argie fellows, if you think the same. And to my other nationality friends, did you ever though any similar about Jami gigs in your country?

I invite you to write your opinion

Definitely.

2005 NYC was way, way, way better than 2001 NYC or 1999 Woodstock.

1999 Woodstock is an obvious, but for 2001 -

For starters, Paul Turner. I was completely allergic to Nick.

2005 was so much longer than 2001. 2001 was so short. I think I remember being out of there in like 45 - 60 minutes.

Jay was very interactive and had high spirits in 2005, not so much in 2001.

I'm not complaining as I had a good time despite being soak and wet, but I definitely think the 2005 concerts were better. I just think this tour was more planned out and the fact that both were sold out (although the 2001 was too), in addition to most of the USA date made the band and Jay feel really good.

I honestly think their tour here in 2005 shocked and surprised them. I don't think they were prepared for the welcome they got, so they fed off of that and in return produced energetic and amazing shows.

That's just my opinion of course Wink
