Problems with Registrations - read here!
We recently have loads of fake registrations here from spammers who only want to post adverts, links or nude pictures.
In order to avoid annoying spam here at jamirotalk I have aggravated the process of registration and delete regulary fake accounts from the memberlist (that's why the number of members is changing a lot).
When you register as a new member you cannot start posting immediately. You have to wait for my activation first. If you want to get sure that I activate your account as soon as possible, please get in personal contact with me - this might speed up the procedure.
Normally I activate new accounts (that don't appear to be spam or fake in any way) inbetween 24 hours. Most of the time I am faster, though.
Don't hesitate to contact me if you think I have forgotten to activate your account. Thanks - and sorry for the slowdown.

We have the same problem in the www.jamirolive.com forum. We have done the same. If anyone knows how to avoid the registration of the spam, please, contact us _________________

in many sites you need to enter a leter/number code in order to complete the registration, i think that avoids spam. like in rapidshare for example |

yes, Marina - that's what we have installed a few months ago, but it didn't keep away the spammers who posted nude pictures in the middle of the night, when I was sleeping...
So, since a few weeks now, we have made it even harder to register: as a new member you have to register and then you have an inactive account which has to be activated and confirmed by an admin (me!). I am deleting 95% of the new registrations because you can already see in their profile why they actually registered...
I still have a lot of work because I have to controll and check every new registration, I have to delete numerous accounts and so on, but at least no bad surprises when I wake up and log into jamirotalk.net.
