The funky groove of Thundercat
Thundercat is the vocalist/bass player from L.A and his band kills it in the groovy funk department. Thundercat (Stephen Bruner) has a great stage presence and is currently touring with drummer (Justin Brown) who is on another level.

This BBC show was a great one, and I have linked to one of their tracks from the newest album. Enjoy!!

(BBC video has been pulled, but I found another great live version of this track)

I tried Thundercat.
I just couldn't get into it,

Must be sth wrong with me.

Millions swear by him.
And critics too.

I just find his stuff a bit... Floaty?? It's kinda dreamy and quite easy to listen to but I just don't find it has much.. Punch? Impact?

Feel free to link me youtube to prove me wrong!

You're not wrong. His music is pretty simple. Some of his tracks are solid. His albums are hit & miss.

The main issue is how repetitive his songs become because he sings them all with the same falsetto affected voice. He is not a great singer.
