Bah, there's always something missing in the booklet and the final singing. Or the ad-libs at the end of almost every song. Although I do think he sings the 'Gil' part, when played live. Gotta listen closely to that.

..sure, but.. who knows why Jay doesn't sing that..

I think it's something like a comment, a note, left only on paper. Perhaps Jay thought that singing that comment would've sounded bad -musically and "lyrically" speakin'.

I have another question! Can you confirm that the several mouth noises from the MAW Acapella mix of "Canned Heat" were recorded during the Canned Heat sessions?
And why they are usually cut off on album versions? With this last question I'm asking for opinions rather than explainations... You know, I think that mouth noises make the songs more emotional. Smile

Does anyone know anything about 'Supersonic - Restless Soul Digibeats' version?

I was just checking the updates in funkin (lots in albums and singles section) and even though that particularly single wasn't updated, I was wondering if its a different version of the regular Restless Soul mix in the final release.

I'd have to listen to it again, but if I remember correctly, it's just a beat-oriented instrumental version of the remix. Wink

Yes. Francois, you are correct - it's a very brief tune containing just the instrumental beats, similar to the Shelter Beats version of Little L.

Well, thanks Dyego for good information, but I must admit that (likely) I'm not missing any of Jamiroquai tune. As to 'Supersonic - Restless Soul Digibeats', I've heard about that version, but can't remeber axactly where.

During the performance of "Our Time is Coming", J quotes a James Brown song titled "Funky Side of Town" ("Get on the good foot" double LP, 1972). It's the "Long-haired hippie and the afro Black come together across the tracks, and party all night long" line in question. During the half-hour Paradiso jam, Brown's "Mind Power" ("The Payback" double LP, 1973) track is also quoted. It wouldn't come as a surprise that J owns a third JB double album: "Hell" (1974)
