Great pictures, Rob!!
I know what you mean about photo qualities... I hav had the same problems... it wasn't easy to shoot good photos... I also have the impression that my camera is sooo slow in taking the pics... I have so many photos with Jay showing me his back...
But anyways, here are the picture that are worth to have a look on it.
Enjoy!

Thank you soooo much Rob for these cool pics and your stories
Linda, what an idea to throw a thong on the stage a pity that Jay didn't look at it
It's so good to read that you all had a great time and I wish so much that I could have been there Let's cross fingers that they come back next year - maybe we can meet again!!

Great pics, Rob and Meike
I had especially with the zoom problems, always gets so unsharp then.
My pics are coming later. But here so far my review.
First a lot thanks a lot to Babette for taking care of me Funky Junky and Speed Freak and driving us to the concert hall, which I must say lies really “at the ass of the world” in Frankfurt .
We hurried to find something to eat around that “Nowhere place” and to be right in time back to the hall. But when we came there…still not even the fences for the entrance had been set up by the security guards...
Well I must say, Frankfurt people seems to have guts , they don’t hurry. For the first waiting hours we were only a bunch of fans in front of the hall. I wondered, if that gig would be highly frequented anyway. Even at opening time around 6.30 I think only a few hundred were already there…Arghh we had to wait a second time inside the hall, before the stairs…
Before the gig started finally the hall was packed, also most of the sitting places in the back. The audience was incredible. Like Speed Freak said before, they really freaked out!
Singing along, shouting, dancing, supporting and encouraging the band. So far that was really great . Only bad side effect was…some times the people sang louder than Jay! We were lucky that he was in good voice that night, but some times it was surely not easy to sang against the crowd, especially when a part in songs came where he slows down or starts a different improvisation…and people like mad still repeated the normal chorus…
Show and songs were still great for me. Heard the nearly same setlist now for the third time in different versions.
Yes the band was a bit tired, though I think it was mainly Jay who felt not so well or really had some special health problems that day. He is a professional and still made a good show, but I felt he was not so much relaxed as in Düsseldorf, joking around, but not too much. Seeing no chance to make a longer speach before "Don't give hat a chance", like in the other concerts. That audience was not in the mood for words. For me his face often looked very stressed while singing.
So I think he spontaneously decided not to sing Light years. He announced and then seem to think “Damn, the show might get to long, doing this song too. Don’t know if I can make it then to the end???”
Love Blind could have been longer for me too and the encore Deeper Underground was the shortest one so far I heard. No band intro, and no coming down to shake hands. So far the points that had been not so good. Still from feeling in the crowd, that was the best concert for this year I saw.
Rob played a great guitar, especially on space cowboy and was always very aware of what was going on in the audience. After the gig he pointed the security guard to give some of this plectrons to some guys behind me.
I would have liked to hear a solo from Sola or Derrick, but unfortunately they had no longer parts.
After the show we shortly met again with cosmic mouse and cosmic bear in front of the stage, but unfortunately we lost each other then in the hall. Anyway we knew, that mouse and bear had backstage passes and thought they would go soon to meet the band.
We hung around for longer time in the hall, drinking and talking about the gig and ended up later in a Guinness pub back in the city. Great evening. _________________
