Anymore UK dates ????
Hi everyone,
I was just wondering about the Dynamite Tour. Does anybody know if they will be doing anymore dates/gigs in the UK in 2006?
I have never been to see them before and i know this is a bad thing as i have had more chances than most considering the amount of UK dates they 'have' done compared to some other countries
I am really worried incase they do not do anymore UK dates
Thanks in advance |

New dates?
Obviously I can't confirm any UK dates for 2006 but my opinion is that they will release a 'Greatest Hits' and do a Greatest Hits tour along with that, sort of late this year.
I personally would'nt be the biggest supporter of a release of a Greatest Hits because like J has said, some of his best stuff is yet to be made so why release a greatest hits (unless its volume 1 )
But if it means the guys doing another tour in the UK then I will be first in line ot go and see them AGAIN!! _________________ 'This is the world he wants, pray for the brave and the young...' |

Thanks for the reply dannyev,
I dont think a greatest hits album is a good idea either to be honest. No matter what JMQ say about it not being the end, you just cant help thinking that it may be
Like you said though........if it means there may be a tour to accompany the GH album in the UK, well i am obviously all for it |

i don't have any information, but right now is the time of year that all the festivals for spring/summer 2006 are being announced, so i'd keep my eye on those announcements from the media outlets, because jamiroquai may play in one or a few of those.
and, i think everyone is making too big of a deal about a greatest hits. everybody has one...even those that are still making records. it's the money maker for record companies to draw in new fans and suck money out of those that won't buy the individual records.
everyone knew that the contract with sony was going to end and that i think will contribute more to the 'possible end' of jamiroquai, than a greatest hits album.
it's all good. it is what it is |

hey deesh
I was keeping the festivals in mind for that reason as i expect they will play a couple....well thats what i'm thinking anyways
I feel quite bad now for not going to see them last year as i know many fans on here havent got the privilage of having so many gigs available to them as i have had living in the UK
Well hopefully we will hear some news in the near future especially with the super jamiroquai spies that visit the forum (especially you deesh heh heh)
Thanks |

well sweetie, you live in the UK, so you would probably hear about it before i would if they advertise the festivals in papers and on the radio, etc. like they do here.
i only get the info once it appears online and sometimes i don't get everything.
just keep an ear out - funkin is the best place to check for any upcoming concerts or even rumors of concerts. so look there and hopefully something will appear that suites your budget, time and vibe. |

I'd rather have a Best of... than a Greatest Hits. A Best of with a bit of unreleased (on albums at least) stuff, a few live tracks and whatever, would be far more than a couple of CDs worth of songs which I already have anyway.
Of course Sony being Sony, a Greatest Hits is what we'll get...

No, I prefer something called "Jamiroquai: The singles (93-06)"

Yeah....good point mate. I should think they will do some festival gigs but i just hope they do some more proper concerts. I dont really care where (i will travel as far as necessary) as long as there in the UK. |

Yes! I was thinking something like The Chemical Brothers did. The regular CD with the singles and 2 bonus tracks. Another double CD with rarities in the second CD. And the DVD including all the videos, plus interviews and live performances.
THAT was a good release.
