Hm, in Nürnberg is an Airport. (Rock im Park)

Another one is in Frankfurt, but that's not so near the Nürburgring...
In general, I guess is easier to reach Nürnberg than the Nürburgring - which is a bit outside.

Check flights for Nürnberg (Nuremberg), maybe. That is the easiest, I think.

130€??? Oh no. I know what my mother will say when I tell her this price. "130€??? No. No. I'm sure your Jay will play some other times in Germany this year, and maybe also in Stuttgart, and then you can go alone. But this is simply too expensive for me." Great. So I am not going to see Jamiroquai live until they play in Stuttgart again or until I can go alone to a concert.

I heard a rumour that Jamiroquai will be coming to Frauenfeld in Switzerland this year (last time was 1997), 23 - 25 June... I hope it's true! That's a long way from Geneva but if they don't make it to Montreux or Paleo, I'll go!!! good

Ah, now it makes sense. Not only is that about a week before the World Cup starts, but they're also playing at the Nurburgring. Why do I suspect Jay might be planning on staying over for a little while after those gigs...?

They only say that the festival Rock im Park is "moving" to another venue, because of the World Cup in Germany - so the festival is moving from the Frankenstadion to Luitpoldhain - dunno where this is, but it is somewhere near.

They say they have the best programm since 10 years with the most important bands like Metallica, Depeche Mode, Tool, Placebo, Franz Ferdinand and Jamiroquai.

That are the main points.

Update - day-tickets available
I got a newsletter from "Rock-im-Park" and they say you can now buy day-tickets for 70 € - so if you only want to see Jamiroquai you don' t need to pay 130 € for the 3-days-ticket. good

Also, I found out that the main act on 4th June is Metallica on the main stage. Jamiroquai will play on the alternative stage. Not sure which time yet.

That's cool, because all the wild people who are pushing and going mad will be on the main stage, rocking to metallica, while we can enjoy Jamiroquai on the alternative stage Very Happy

Still not sure if I will go, though... Rolling Eyes

Hey Tari,

I don't know about the others, but I've opted for Rotterdam now - indoors, jazz festival, and bigger Jamily gathering. I had to choose one (plus Lovebox) and Rotterdam won Wink

I'm sure there'll be great people at Nürburgring though, and seeing Jamiroquai anywhere will be excellent!!!

Exactly the same reasons for me!! I won't go to the german festivals either. Rolling Eyes

Anyways, make sure you have fun as hell and don't forget to post pics and a detailed review (including setlist) when you come back!! good
And spread loads of jamirotalk.net flyers , if you can! We need more german fans here! Wink

Hi Christiane! Nice to hear from you again. I live only half an hour away from the Nürburgring but I still don't know if I go because we probably do a little family holiday over Pfingsten.
I would also love to see Franz Ferdinand and many other groups there.
I will decide if I go very short termed - but I will tell here!!

Last time I went to Rock am Ring I also went only for one day and not the whole festival so it was a bit cheaper... Very Happy
