I also just saw him once - on this concert for the Queen in London 2002. He really has a very good voice but he isn't very popular in Germany. He's also nominated for a Brit Award (best male??, I'm not sure)

Here comes the link to the Brits' website:

http://www.brits.co.uk (you'll need Flash 6 Player to watch the site)

I couldn't find a hint if it will be broadcasted online. They only say that they will announce the winners on 20th february on that website.

Maybe they will show some snippets on german TV a few days or weeks after, but I am sure David Rowe will offer it to download at his website much faster blink

Oh! you don't know who will young is? How could you not know? I live in canada and I know! He's the guy who won the pop idol show in the uk, although, the only reason I know him is because he was on the amercan idol show. I'm don't really like him. He has a strange voice, but he won, so that's good for him! good

for the germans here: pop idol show = deutschland sucht den superstar ;)

i think, he only won cuz he looks a bit like robbie williams.

i seriously doubt, that they will broadcast it in europe (england excluded of course). they never have Sad

Smellbob - can you imagine that some guys in the US don't know Robbie Williams - I hardly could believe that. So it's not so unbelievable that we don't know Will Young in good old Germany because he is not in the charts here. 2no

But we also have "Superstar Shows" here in Germany and I really hate this rubbish 2biting

i think, the superstar-show rocks! it's kinda like big brother with music. julie sucks. she seems to think, that she's already the winner.. at least she acts like it. but i think, gracia will make it in the end. hopefully not alex.
but the real star of the show is definitly daniel k. balla balla he's so funny and entertaining, even though i am not going to get fashion-tips from him.
he should sing 'virtual insanity' or 'cosmic girl'... would kinda suit him (not his voice though - what voice? HE HE HE)

will young and the two run-ups all hit nr. 1 in the uk-charts after the show. i think, if they play their cards right, they all have a real chance of becoming stars. and will does have a great voice!!

I'm not surprised that there's some confusion stoned about if and/or who JK will sing a duet with.
Remember last year's Brit's: it had been announced that JK would sing with Elton John and there were bets going on about which song they would choose.
surprise Then, it turned out to be Anastacia.

For my part, I'd rather have Jamiroquai only perform one of their song... right after after winning the award for Best Dance Track. Wink

i doubt, he will perform 'Canabis' for two reasons:

1. the song has not been released in any form besides being played at live-performances (correct me here, if i'm wrong)

2. a song about drugs on a british tv-show? i don't think so! 2scratchchin

if they are really going to perform a duet with somebody, i even doubt that they will perform on of their songs, but rather a cover-version of a song. only jami-songa i can think of that would make a good duet is main vein or love foolosophy. but who would want to try to live up to the great performance of beverly knight?

I thought the Parliament had legalized canabis in the UK some months ago... Didn't they?
That would be a nice Wink (if not a middle fingers ) from JK who involved himself at least 10 years ago on this issue. At that time, it was not so common.
(I do not share his views, I just admit him being in advance on his time).

Right good
Then let's dream of a duet with Beverley Knight herself.

Hi,

I agree with CosmicBear about Cannabliss, and that it would be a cover of a non-Jamiroquai song that is performed. I'd really like it if love foolosophy was performed though, as it's my fav. from AFO. But I doubt that it'll happen, especially with beverly. Rolling Eyes

Shocked horror

As far as I know, this hasn't happened. There has been a trial scheme in some parts of London where a more liberal approach to weed was taken, but I don't know if this is still carrying on. (Infact it probably isn't but i'm not sure)

Take care,

Serge
