The Dynamite tour sucked, Jay didn't do a good job, the album sucked, the performances regressed from the AFO era, and you're saying they were better? Open your eyes and your ears.

That's way there's something on this earth called OPINIONS. I respect yours.

..but it's so difficult to understand that the feelings after Tufertschwil 'against' Jamiroquai perform have a lot of origins..
Ok, I try to exclude the 'backstage' matter. Then? What we listened?.. A tired band and a so angry singer.
But being a 'fan' means to say ever 'what a great perform, Jay rocks, the boys were fantastic'?.. Surely my judgement in not objective (after 6 Dynamite gigs, i got some differences since the first..) but..
i think there's nothing of strange to say 'Tonight they didn't excited me as usual..', it was the same in Trani. So i don't understand this commom positions against the people there that is saying just that we wanted more, not only an enough show played with a script in the backstage. Like a Theatre.
It's a sin to say I didn't like their last show?.. I saw a band staying on the stage as because they HAD to stay there.
It seemed a farce.
Like the VIP Area.
..but i'm curious to know how you're so sure that a show could be was 'amazing', 'decent', 'blast', 'explosive' just reading the tracklist. With SAME begin, the SAME tracks, the SAME order, the SAME ideas, the SAME end. |
This is such a good post I think. Only because they are Jamiroquai, we do not have to love everything they do! I find it actually good that there are people out there who do some critics on Jay and the band, that's much more real to me.
Anyway I was not that much disappointed from the show as I already said after the gig. I loved Time Won't Wait and Use the Force so much and the sound quality of Deeper Underground reminded me a lot on that gig in 99.. and boogieing next to Jamily was fun!
Bad to me was more that there was no good atmosphere to see between the bandmembers and that destroyed it a bit. And well, Jay not communicating much to the audience as before. But I can also really understand that some of you are tired of the setlist. It was more or less the same as the ones before.
But hey let us give them a chance to make it up when they bring the brass back again. I will have to see how that will be! I am looking forward to that. |

thanks suzanna for caring about as all..i was lucky and didn´t get a lungenentzündung..and..i really love your dialekt..hihi

You are actually not the only one. I think that sometimes when they play Revolution "the-new-without-trumpets-etc-way". The album version is a thousand times better I think (so many little details that get lost in this live version) and that version is performed a bit too long. Same with Canned heat. Much better on album in my view. I actually miss High Times as an opener. That was a real good "wake-up-Jamiroquai-is-here-now-jump-song". What do the others think?
Oh and you are welcome! It was not hard to manage your hair!
I cannot forget CG shouting "Shut up" when Scooter played, I am just laughing again!! |

I always wear army boots when I go to that sort of stuff. Maybe you can't dance that well with them but it eliminates someone else stepping on your toes as well (ok, it doesn't eliminate but you won't feel anything). The boots can also handle a couple of cm's of water and if you need to kick someone than it REALLY, REALLY, REALLY hurts
I feel bad for you guys about a not too great show but at least we can tell the difference. If we weren't on 'talk and this was our first jami show ever then it probabaly would have been the last ... be at least gratefull for that |
