Hello,
Sorry for being somewhat "quiet" postwise, colds aren't my friend lately . Anyway, yes, I do agree, Jamiroquai & Computers aren't very good together, I mean, who would want JK at your demonstration for your new comp product asking every 3 seconds, "What does this thingie do?"..."What does this button do?"...Hehe! But insightful spotting Brother JamFan, maybe the first "Space Cowboy" like Intel commerical is just one of a series of new commericals inspired by Jamiroquai Music....I would die to see those flimsy dancers try dodging JK's exotic cars as they come careening at them in a "Cosmic Girl Video" commerical treatment ! Thanks for listening and of course....AMD RULES! Peace!
Sincerely,

Sounds to me like they have enough already! Seriously, I can't tell you how much I'm enjoying reading through all this geek-speak.
...not!
Can you guys and your computers get yourselves a room...? _________________

If you read the second page of that topic you would have understood:

and VERY offtopic (as a reply to myself in the last post on this topic & for people who thinks the same that I USED to think)

I had a long talk with certified technic, who knows a lot about computers, processors and motherboards, and he told me why INTEL Core 2 Duo processors are thousand times better than the AMD X2 ones: because of its unic cache, its 1066mhz Front side bus, and a lot of things more Cool .
AMD simply lies about the GHZ of their preocessors, in fact, If you want to run an AMD X2 3800+ at (3 ghz at least, because it says 3800) you need a cooling sistem of the size of your bedroom; another problem of AMD Dual core processors are that for a lot of programs its cores run unsynchronized, so maybe one of them is at 100% and the other isn't running at all, so you must select one core, or install official patches, that don't assure the problem will fix at all. That's why AMD's actions on the stock-market went down so bad, and now AMD is trying to reach the top again by a possible join with ATI Rolling Eyes .
SO, if you're planing in buy a new computer, go for a Core 2 Duo, they work very very good, e.g the cheapest model, the E6300 runs at REAL 1.86ghz each core.
I feel like an idiot.
Sorry Intel Smile |
The AMD thing I said was talking without having rela knowledge...
AND I also thought that AMD X2 processors were THE CPU's but I was wrong. AMD won the battle against Pentium Processors, but the Core tecnology developed by the new Intel cpus (Core Duo, Core 2 Duo, Core 2 Extreme, etc) is thousandas better than the x2 from AMD.
Everybody says AMD is good at games, well everybody had problems running Need for speed most wanted with X2 processors, because of the unsinchronization thing I wrote above....
Anyway...
BTW Space Clav, that Mac must be the computer God uses to run the "Life" software, ... |
