It IS ridiculous. However, my mourning period is over. Their relevancy in the US ultimately means little to me. Screw the masses. Technology has made it so that each and every one of us can be our own personal DJs of our own worlds. In my own little cyber-corner-of-the-earth, Jamiroquai is HUGE. Their music is an integral part of my CD collection, and now my iPod, my Pandora stations, my YouTube station, even my Facebook, where I practically spam my friends with Jamiroquai stuff.
In fact, it is my litmus test for who is really "down" and cool in my world, and who isn't. I am proud to represent and advocate the FUNK. _________________ ~~~"To perchance upon this circumstance is something of a miracle so spiritual, it's verging on the physical."~~~ |

i just find it werid that so far there hasn't been any mention of releasing or plans to promote RDLS in america since last year
but i still remain hopeful, like the old saying goes "it ain't over till the fat lady sings" (whatever the fat lady is, i just hope its good news for us north american fans ) |

explain what you mean we are ridiculous? This conversation is ridiculous? Or that the album hasn't been released is ridiculous?
The fans from U.S. don't know why, no release.
Nobody from the band or promoters have spoken out on this.
(excuse me while I cross the room to pass under the elephant...)

Maybe J is getting ready to leave his current label for another. Which is why there's silence on the part of the band. While they tour everywhere but the US they may include a brief US distribution deal and tour -- just before they complete recording on another album -- I'm writing this to make myself happy. |

Happy birthday DTNY!
Why would they already leave their label? Do you think it is a one-album contract? (maybe what they may have wanted.)
The silence to me means "no U.S. tour".
And probably still in the throes of this tour, and just surviving today rather than planning the next album & tour. |

Thank you, HB.
I have faith that they will come to the US eventually, but I don't think it will be anytime soon. _________________ ~~~"To perchance upon this circumstance is something of a miracle so spiritual, it's verging on the physical."~~~ |

This should honestly be the number 1 question to be asked the next time we're lucky to score an interview with one of the bandmembers. I'd really like an explanation as to why US fans are getting neglected. There are thousands and thousands of us that would fly out to another city/state to catch a performance!
They just need to do some Jay Leno, Conan, Jimmy Fallon, or whatever interview on popular TV for marketing and promotion. I think there would be a lot of new people who'd be interested and turned on to this "new"/RDLS Jamiroquai. If Adele can reach #1 on the charts, I'm pretty sure Jamiroquai could at least gain relevancy here... (she's a superb singer btw, lol).
But yeah, we should ask them! _________________ www.funkfiction.com |

Funk Fiction and I should run their marketing! I totally agree!
I suggested earlier Fallon, Chelsea Lately or Glee! (p.3)
Jamiroquai needs to make some kinda T.V. connection and do a U.S. interview.
Conan, though, probably is best for the interview!
Chelsea would dig through their closet (and pants).
Fallon would probably flub something up.
SNL would show a great performance.
Glee would, who knows -I don't watch it.
(and yes, Adele is great!) |

i agree with the tv connection to help spread the word on their recent music
i think they should go on either leno, fallon, conan, letterman, kimmel and etc....unfortunately today's so-called "music channels" like MTV and VH1 focus less on the music and only play clips of new songs...its not like how it used to be
best bet for jamiroquai is to promote in late night or even daytime talk shows and music award shows |

oh sorry guys..I am completely on your side here!!!
I think it´s ridiculous that they won´t release it over there...
there must be serious economical reasons ..how much money can you loose releasing it in the U.S. _________________ "Here it is...there is no way to make it better " |

RDLS will not be released in the us. Blessing in disguise. That piece of crap album was never made in my opinion.
I'm praying they will have a usa tour for the next album. Also hoping 5 years won't be the wait gap. _________________

Maybe they are holding onto a gem, exclusively for the U.S. |
