Jay Kay
Everyone here knows that it is not only Jay Kay who makes Jamiroquai so unique. No question about it... you'll all agree that every bandmember does a great job.
But you can't help it... actually it is Jay who sings and moves and who is in the centre of attention. And without him, Jamiroquai wouldn't be Jamiroquai. Therefore this topic is dedicated to him.
Let's talk about the "cat in the hat" ...

Alright...
...yeah, this guy rocks. He is the main reason to why the band is what it is today, and he is the main man, even to the extent that uninformed people tend to beleive that he IS Jamiroquai. But no matter what, I still view them as a band.
And a great one at that. _________________ Die-hard Jamiroquai fan...or something like that. Whatever, cheers! |

Well, this funky guy has some sort of charm and personality. My friend from Italy took a cruise from Paris (I think it was Paris) and guess who she meets? Yes, the one and only Jay Kay. She didn't get the chance to meet him, but the captain of the ship said that he is a very nice person and a lot of people like his company. I can imagine that!!! |

Jay
I can imagine that too! As I saw him on the stage at the "Rock am Ring" from the first row (it was the first time I saw him live) I felt a special kind of aura around him! Actually I don't like men that are so small and tiny like he is but he's got something special. The way he moves and his voice are really sexy!! |

yes, butterfly in june, this is what i feel about jay too ..
funny..... to see ..somebody feels the same.....
he is really too thin, isn´t he??? usually i prefer "bigger" bodies........ but he´s very sexy..
and when i hear his voice....
in an interview with the "boss" of "acid jazz" (forgot the name) , he said as he listened to jay´s voice the first time he was thinking of a black women.... he was a little bit shocked as he met a white kid.. funny story, isn´t it?????
there is a big big aura around him reeeeeaaaaaaallllllllyyyyyyyy
he is a special man, _________________

jay knows his audience, he gives them what they want. (well, at least most of the time! )
when he's out there he give it his all, he thoroughly enjoys his time on stage and it outwardly shows. he really is a crowd's man; a fantastic display of showmanship. |

Every one knows that Jay rocks, and without him, Jamiroquai won't be the same. He's a very good singer, a very good dancer, and he's funny, too! I belive that Jamiroquai won't survive without Jay. He's awesome!
Therefore, the other members of the band are very important, too. If they no exist, how could Jay sings without music??? It won't be so funny (but it ill also be funny) He's voice is fantastic, but it's more funny with music! |

I saw many Jay's shows, playing with the band, wihtout them and singing covers. An every time he's very good singer, but supported with music of Jamiroquai's band he's really AWESOME.
And well, he's not only the singer: he writes and composes, he's very talented with the music (doing it and playing it). It's like the brain of Jamiroquai. His mind can create this incredible music and great musicians of Jamiroquai put the perfect melody for these lyrics.
I really think that JK was touched with a muse in his chilhood if he can create this music. This is a truth talent! _________________

There's is no argue that every member's job is priceless, but this talent needs to be collected in one right direction and Jay manages it... and we can see the result, so man good vibes! To tell you the truth, it was Jamiroquai when I've leart to differ good music from rubbish ones, so how i can live without good vibed music. You all remember the topic where the main subject was "Where you hear Jamiroquai today" and my answer was in my head and everywhere I go (not exact quote ) _________________

This was the very first thread in the Jay Kay section which I opend to fill the emtpy forum. It was written 11th Feb 2002, the day when jamirotalk was born. You know.. we were a handful of registered people and the forum was nearly empty... so I had to create some discussions to make it look "busy"...hahaha!!! Too funny that you digged it out!!

(by the way, Little R.. I noticed that you are bringing up very very old topics... maybe it's better to stick to the actual running discussions... just an idea. ) _________________ ~ I look up to Heaven, every star I see is mine.
