Jay scatting in the studio
She's a fast persuader has a bit of the funky vibe like "Jay scatting in the studio".... an unreleased Simphonized sample....
What do you think? |

Re: Jay scatting in the studio
Is an interesting song, just awesome.
Now that you said that changes for me the perspective about the song (I had no idea about what was talking about in that) but still being freaking amazing.

Hmmm I don't know, this song sounds more like AFO and the "scatting on the studio" have that feeling of Synkronized (latin and jazzy sounds) , by the way, I can't understand why Jay don't release "Midnight Funk". |

well then he probably would find it difficult to drive an helicopter so we can expect something a bit different
I dind't like it at the begin, now...mmmm...I do, I'm starting to like the entire album ( no bs and lifeline sorry, I simply can't), probably the whole stuff had to settle a bit and I adore the fact that the brass are back it's all more warm. _________________ No man is an Island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the Continent, a part of the main and any man's death diminishes me, because

Hello,
From the beginning to 1:35, the song is really great. I like really much the beat and melody. But, for me, after 1:35 to the end, the melody change a little, as well the beat. It's a shame.
But the solo with horns is great ! |

I expected more from the song too. It has a nice feel and reminds me most of classic Jamiroquai (maybe it's the Sola magic), but it doesn't really develop into anything higher. Also, it sounds like synth horns were being used outside of the sax solo, like that tiny horn blip at 3:30 that sounds awfully out of place =/ The sax solo wasn't really that inspired either. Also, not a big fan of the distorted bass tone on the whole track..takes something away from it. Maybe it'll be taken up a notch when performed live. |

I was expecting more too. Not only the 30 sec. sample previously heard was a well-chosen part, it was the best part of the song. The saxophone solo is completely out of place. But the first part of the chorus, with the Revolution drums and good bass is good. And the reason why so many like this song is, as I've always said, Jamiroquai's best weapon: unusual chord progressions. (Unusual for pop music these days, of course.) |

I don't agree that the horn hits sound like synthesizers. That being said, they definitely don't sound "live" on the track. I will agree that the sax solo didn't really end in a satisfying fashion. However, I'm not going to ask questions. The fact that horns are even featured is a great thing. |

Yeah this is a turn it up moment for me, but I must say I really like All Good In The Hood it's just such a great statement of intent after the two tracks that confused us by conflicting all those weeks - the end of Fast Persuader is killer though |

This song is definitely one of my new favourites! Who cares if it's a little "dirty", I like the vibe... And there's nothing wrong with a dirty Jay I'd say _________________ Music is the only hope we have for Revolution. |

When I first listened I thought in the first verse it´s
" now she´s stinging in the rain´cos she´s got so much to give"
( syhnth-sound)
And I still don´t know her name....
( synth.sound)...
I only realised yesterday that the synth sound is actually a voice singing ( Girl´s got crazy rhythms)
anybody else " missed" that at the first listens? _________________ "Here it is...there is no way to make it better " |
