The section near the ending when the rhodes, bass and percussion kicks in is awesome. This is such an inventive and powerful track. I just wish some of the tracks were longer, but can't complain as this is a vast improvement over the last album. _________________ Fan since '92. |

Very interesting and experimental track. Definitely one of the most musically daring songs they've done in years.
Also very curious about the meaning. Any clues about that? |

Hey Floyd pisses me off only because when the song get strong and gets going...it suddenly stops! Then it changes up on you and goes all Reggae on you and it's just making me beg for the main part to come back because it was so amazing. But I do love the song Also the album is totally live. On the very first track, I was listening with headphones...and you can hear Derrick hitting his sticks together as in "1...2...3...GO!" It's really faint but you can definitely hear it! |
The reggae part is annoying..in fact, there's far too much reggae on this album (prefer jazz-funk, sorry Jamiroquai). However, the album is far from live..once again, it sounds like large portions were recorded, then re-arranged and edited in Pro Tools despite what they've told us. |

When they say live, they mean they recorded it only with live instruments.
And anyway I'm pretty sure they can play those tracks without any outside help (computer etc...), especially when you hear what they do in concerts.
EDIT: And the reggae part is the best part of the song, but I'm from the west indies so I have a soft spot for this genre... |

Aside from White Knuckle Ride, i found the the rest of the album much more organic and live than the previous 2 albums at least... _________________ At the speed of cheeba, you and I go deeper... |

I love how it goes: slowly at first, massive in the chorus, and then chilling again kinda Jimmy Cliff...then power again. Jay has a great voice for ska/ reggae _________________ Call me up, turn me on, tune me in... |
