Untill now, the only one i was skipping was Never gonna be another, but now that i am trying to play it with my bass i am listening to it again to get the bassline. Sometimes I skip WKR but mainly because I have listened to many times before the album was out. _________________ Sounds Kind Of Funky!!

Am I the only one who listens to the album in its entirety each time I listen to it? |
It depends on where I am.
If I'm in a car, then I listen to the whole album.
If I'm lying on my bed with the headphones on, then I only play the ones I really like and skip the others. |

And the ending of SaFP is incredible! It's one of the funkiest Jamiroquai moments. |
Each to their own, of course, but I don't really LOVE the ending of SAFP. I play it most times, but wouldn't die if it didn't exist.
On the other hand, I LOVE the way ''Hey Floyd'' goes from one style to another. It's a crazy - and fantastic - combination!
And I have always loved the slightly Arab intro & ending on COTW. I never minded them at all.
Go figure! |

Blue Skies... it's a nice ballad, but definitely the "weakest" song of the album, not because it's bad, but because the rest is very very good |

I'll never skip a track when I'm playing it for myself, but the other day when I played it in the office, I found myself jumping over Lifeline and Blue Skies... Depends on the surroundings and the atmosphere I think. _________________

I wonder how it will be reviewed... |
This is not a dig at you being a more recent fan but the answer to that is always 'poorly'. Reviewers for all types of cultural output work in tribes and on-trend and there's nobody out there with a loud voice saying anything other than Jamiroquai - he's a dick who's got more cars than sense and this album is the same as all the others, boo-hiss! - been that way since the third album, for every column inch about the music there's thirty miles worth on Jay's private life |
I never read he was a dick. I read he has one though.

Count me amongst those who skip Blue Skies. It's a pretty tune, but... if I want to listen to Air Supply, I'll listen to Air Supply.
And I usually skip Hurtin'. It just doesn't go anywhere.
Otherwise, it's all good in the hood. _________________ ~~~"To perchance upon this circumstance is something of a miracle so spiritual, it's verging on the physical."~~~ |

I skip no songs from the new album , each day that pass, more and more I like the new album . But I still prefer a lot of times the live version of blue skies at jools holand 2010 (is fantastic) than the studio version. Also I feel very touched with the lyrics.
Sadly Never gonna be another, never gonna be one of my favourites, in fact, I think is the worse song (Sometimes I skip it).
Peace and love! enjoy the music! _________________ Got my soul education! |

Blue skies... I dont seem to skip this song... I just loudly sing to it! This because its the lyrics with this song... they are just written at the right time for me... (maybe cause Jay is my age and finding out the same things in life?!?!)
'There’s nothing but rainbows
I believe in the shadows
Now honey
Thought I might Be dropping out
But now I am gonna work it out
I am gonna work with me'
I am skipping very regularly since the start 'Goodbye to my dancer'...
I used to skip Hurtin but since I have heard this live I will never skip it again Just a reminder of how brilliant the gig was!!!
I do skip RDLS and WKR lately... just played too much...
But for the rest... still very happy with the album!! _________________ You still blow my mind... |
