Do you like the Show tunes vibe?
Lifeline and Hang It Over have this Show tunes vibe like it's Jamiroquai The Musical. Personally I could really do with less of this in the future, like the reggae and more 'Dance' tracks in the past I hope this stays as a flirtation rather than a whole new area like the rawer, rocky guitar vibe they've really gone for which I like
Any love for the show tunes vibe here? |

I love this show tune thing!
"Lifeline" is fantastic and it's got one of their best chorus ever. Puts me on a great mood.
I still haven't listened to "Hang it Over" as I'm waiting for my Deluxe Version to arrive, but could realize that this is one of fan's favorite.
Regarding "Hurtin" and "Blue Skies", I don't like the rocky guitar vibe 'though. _________________ Fernando Freire |

Blue Skies isn't the rocky vibe I meant, Hurtin' is the starkest example but I'm also thinking of the warmth most tracks have except Blue Skies and White Knuckle Ride |

Hang It Over & Lifeline, while they aren't what I imagine when I think 'Jamiroquai', are both fun, enjoyable songs. I think at this point Jay is just trying to enjoy making music while doing something different. He's had his day doing the groundbreaking stuff with controversial, thought-provoking lyrics and now it's all fun. Whether or not that's a good thing for the fans, that's a whole other subject. |

Mmm, I particularly love "Lifeline", it's my favourite tune from the new album.
"Hang it over" is funny especially due to the dixie land part, but there you are right, we don't want Jamiroquai to become a dixie land band! _________________

Well yeah that's the thing - I don't mind one-offs |
