What happened to Toby?
Does anyone knows what he is into now? Is he still working with the Hoosiers? Is he still writing? What happened with that Running Out of Heroes thing?
Last info I got from him is this 2010 interview (very interesting video - Too young to die was written in 5 min.!!)

Toby also says he was the keyboard player for the first Hoosiers album and so I gave it a listen hoping to find something Toby but unfortunately the whole album is a huge piece of shit
Also he played keyboards for a lot of pop idols after leaving Jamiroquai. He did a lot of stuff for this guy second album (have no idea of who the hell he is) - but see credits on track 6

(You can also see some pics of his studio in this flickr channel including some of his vintage keyboards collection)

Yeah, the man just went out of scene ... He could make some tracks for the Jamiroquai community .. Even if they were 30 seconds demos would be great.
It´s a shame his talent is being lost. _________________ Away from soliloquies of sadness

Well, as everybody said, it seems that you gave us more information about Toby that we have.
Even after he left the band, he's still staying away from the cameras |

well that's pretty awesome for him.
Seems to be credited as a writer, which is a great career!

What's the hell he's doing with the (ridiculous) one direction ??????
How can you write some amazing songs like stillness in time or Planet Home and do...THAT ? What a pity !
Ps : By the way, anyone knows about The Zender's album Running Out Of The Heroes ? _________________ "People find it's hard to be strong, cos' they don't know where they're coming from" |

He mentioned the other day new stuff would be coming out soon, but who really knows... we've been waiting forever.

I'm afraid you're right.
Zender announced this in...2009.... it's been a long time...I hope he'll published a album one day, otherwise, he'll be a wasted talent... _________________ "People find it's hard to be strong, cos' they don't know where they're coming from" |

Well, I guess the answer is "good money". Artistically, it might not be overly rewarding, but I'd rather have a song on a million selling album than for some band no one's never heard of... and it can lead to other collaborations.
I'm sincerely proud and happy for Toby!
(addition: and, obviously, Toby is also involved in more personal projects... selling a track to One Direction (or however the business works) allows this freedom as well !) |
