O2 Wireless Festival 2007
A quality event held in Hyde Park, London featuring a cracking line - up!
here are some of the 2nd days highlights including:
- Just Jack - with 'Writer's Block' & 'Starz in their Eyes' and
interviews. This should make up for the big weekend upload i had difficulty
with - http://www.megaupload.com/?d=F25PAY34
YOU MUST GET THIS ALBUM
- Mark Ronson - performing 'Stop Me' with Daniel Merriweather who was on top from & 'Oh My God!' with a stand in singer who was excellent and also does valerie when needed instead of Amy Winehouse.I can't think of her name right now but she's ruddy good! There is also a small Interview with Mark before that track .
- for a sneak preview of his new video of 'oh my god!' go here http://www.jamirotalk.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=104143#104143
- Kelis - Interview then 'Milkshake' which was quite good. Im not sure if you guys like her but i always enjoyed good stuff and her 1st album.
- The Cat Empire/Robyn - were two new acts featured and looked impressive. The Cat Empire had a good sound featuring reggae & scar and people in their 30's may remember Robyn who sang on one of the best dance tunes of all time - 'show me love', then known as Robyn S. I used to love their tracks including 'luv 4 luv'.
- Faithless - Headlined and tracks shown were 'Mass Destruction'(my personal favourite) & 'We Come 1' plus Interviews. I have to say i have not always been attracted to their stuff as it has been aimed at the hardcore generation which is just noise but with a full band behind them they sound awesome!

hopefully more to come tomorrow from Sat highlights which include Daft Punk, CSS & Lcd Soundsystem if anyone is remotely interested in them? _________________

Sun highlights:
- Calvin Harris/New Young Pony Club - Calvin gets interviewed by Alex Zhane about the Myspace generation of bands and mentions working with Jamiroquai as we know. (best thing he's ever done!). He plays a live track on a band stand stage with a tiny audience whilst looking like Dennis Pennis - don't yer think?? nice TT
Another band loosely related to Jamiroquai are NYPC who supplied the soundtrack to Intels 'Multiply' campaign on the commercial and on the live scala broadcast. It is called 'Ice Cream' and appears on my - myspace currently they are also interviewed.

cheers Rinaldo - Ronson was excellent again too.
Highlights of Daft Punk were also on - and the Kaiser Chiefs if anyone would like them?
i think Daft Punk are taking the p*** though as they have a huge light and sound show but just stay in a pod in the centre of the stage playing record after record with no band.
It's a bit of an easy way out IMO - rip off! _________________

daft's performance (as much as i saw it - 10 minutes HQ material) was MAD! at least triple the power than last year... and the encore... damn mental! it's so fucked that even this year i can't catch their live anywhere... _________________ ...
