Well i'd really like them to do a combination of the acid jazz and disco funk of EOPE and TWM. Though I would't mind some jazz. I reckon that jmq could be good jazz musicians if they put their mind to it. I know its a long time ago, but just listening to BYM on the Wolverhampton and Paradiso boots you can see how they created an awesome jazz sound in the intro.
Oh, and a didgeridoo track. |

I would like them to do a few concerts that are open to anyone who can buy (not win ) a ticket.
Musically, I just want to see them with some brass and strings. I really don't require much just some music that I can vibe to. _________________ www.dee34.wordpress.com |

i'm with Deesh on this one...as long as they bring back the brass, that's fine with me...something sounding like stuff from as recently as 'The Mean' fiddy gig will do me fine!
Of course,me ol' friend Missy HAS to state the obvious...there's ALWAYS room for da funk you silly girl!!! _________________ ''SYNKRONIZED SINCE '94' |

Yeah, brass and strings.
Although I should kick my own @ss when I write this... but I actually dig some of their electronic funk fusions they did in the last 2 albums.
My guess is that they'll try to mix those 2 worlds of old & new again, hopefully with more 'old' that 'new'

Hello,
Hmmm...well, the most obvious things that Jamiroquai must do "pre-7th album" is the following I think :
Step 1#: Take the remaining months of 2007 and go into the writing process for new material. Be it at the Chillington Studios in Buckinghamshire, JK's new Scottish studios, or even more abroad, they need to write, write, write WITHOUT any Pro-Tools or any technological shortcuts.
Step 2#: Circa Spring 2008, once they have a considerable amount of agreeable new material produced, mixed and recorded, go and find a small record label OR distributer to sign with for a limited "one album deal".
Step 3#: After the limited record deal is settled upon with a indie OR big label that can handle properly promoting and putting out a WIDE new musical release for Jamiroquai, plan and implement some SECRET gigs.
Step 4#: Upon the live success of the new material from a small number of SECRET gigs (where the band performs under a different name), start the ONLINE publicity machine going. Using Online Street Teams to blanket the forums and message boards with info about the new Jamiroquai album ALSO to update the Official Jamiroquai website and surrounding JAMILY websites, Fansites and Forums, and a physical promo teams to administer promos singles to radio stations and posters all and around the UK and Europe.
Step 5#: Start limited American Street teams to spread the word about the new Jamiroquai release in America.
Step 6# Release the new album worldwide in the Early to mid Summer 2008 to rave music magazine reviews and start a world tour starting in Europe and ending in Asia/Far East.
Hehe, I know, I'm thinking a LITTLE TOO FAR AHEAD, but that is what I would like to see happen . Thanks for listening and Peace !
Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000 _________________

Having another album from them is good enough. I doesn't matter if the sound is electroni/old school etc, I know it will be good.
And if the songs have an electronic feel, they'll still be able to give it a "raw" sound during the gigs |

I just want the old Acid Jazz sound back.
Don't get me wrong, I like some of their newer stuff, but the stuff from EOPE, ROTSC, and TWM are where my heart really is with Jamiroquai.
If they could mix up the "old" and "new" sounds and come up with something that lies somewhere in between TWM and Synk, I would even be happy, but part of me wants the old Acid Jazz sound (brass, strings, etc.) more than anything. _________________ Just play my tune... |
