She's probably not your thing. Her voice is a love or hate for many.
The lyrics on FRANK is what grasped me and her voice to me is just a plus.
Be prepared for her to be a complete mess outside of the singing and those that aren't fans really hate her live performance, but I really enjoyed it besides her wackiness. I could care less about a performers off stage antics though (obviously...my favorite band is Jamiroquai..haha).
Have a great time seeing the AM!

Yeah she's got quite a unique voice from what I can tell but doesn't really do much for me.

she will play in austria in july at the NUKE Festival where jamiroquai have performed 2 years ago...
but i don´t like the other acts

While the chic is bouncing back and forth between rehab and the hospital trying to recover from a serious drug and eating addiction, I figure this is a bit sunshine...
I've been a bit sour on remixes lately. Seems like everyone has been doing them just to do them and they sound not too good, but I came across this AW remix that I really like. I love all her originals, so the fact that I like this remix is a miracle. Has a bit of a Ronson sound....OBVIOUSLY...snippets of TOXIC can be heard in there as well.
Amy fans enjoy. This free and to my knowledge not being commercially released. More like a random fan doing a remix.

Hi there,
Good to read all this. Just downloaded the BBC Session DVD of 8th March 2007. Great DVD and I decided to check her site. She will perform in Holland, but it's sold out already. And I read a story about her having serious drinking and drugs problems. There are rumours she will cancel all her gigs this year. And she cancelled some gigs in the past because of her drinking problems. Too bad, because she is a very good artist. Really love it.

Ahhh bless u deesha! Great stuff!.. yes amy is in a sad way at the moment i think.. lots of rumours too .. perhaps she will cancel her gigs, i don't know.. wish her the best tho, she needs to get her head together i think.

Thank you Mouse. I am going to try and listen and work. I hope she puts on a quality show for the people of Munich. With her, you never know!

From today's sounds, I like Amy Winehouse's music.
I still haven't heard her album, just the singles, and I dig them.
You're right Deesh, her voice could be a hit or miss; but at least its different, and not another poppy star.

oh my goodness.. I just saw some of the footage of her shows in birmingham and germany.. wow.. painful to watch.. she apparently forgot some of the words to her songs.. i feel sorry for her, she needs help !.. if u want the link i can put it up, but be warned.. it's not pretty..

that's the reason i didn't go to see her earlier this year. You never know what yer gonna get.
i think she should cancel the lot as she is really struggling and what's the shame in admitting it. The album is fantastic - it really is but i do think she was having troubles before it was released which was evident from the severe weight loss. Amy claimed she had been visiting the gym daily but she looked miles better on her first album IMO.
I just think she deluded herself by bringing this album out although she couldn't have forseen how successful it would be i suppose. On the other hand if she didn't - we would never have experienced it.
she seems to have too much on her plate or has bitten off a bit more than she can chew.
In the Telegraph yesterday missy - there is a photograph of her peforming in Birmingham and a sparkling review 
i thought she looked great here and sounded it too - Stronger than Me - 2003 - Later with jools.

My friend went and walked out. I am so happy I saw her earlier this year for cheap and she put on a great show. I wouldn't buy a ticket to see her now at all.
I think it was great she put the album out. She hadn't had one in a few years internationally and one not at all here. It was the right time to hit the USA, as we were starving for some non-mainstream girl talent.
It is really ashame that she is such a mess. I hate to see what drugs to do anyone whether they are an entertainer or not, but she needs to cancel those shows. It isn't fair to the people that bought tickets. It's like she is being whored out by her management..don't they see how messed up she is? Why would you put her up on stage in that state?
Sad.
