But I am interested in your journey as you defend this right. And I'm interested in how exactly we or people can exercise this "right of acting that way freely, without being judged by a more restrictive vision of the sex wich is, in my opinion wich rules on most the cultures."?
What exactly do you suggest we do to change what in your mind culture has ruled? |
well...it is really hard. it need a real REVOLUTION. the only way i see is working for it, starting with little tihngs, as talking about it in a jamiroquai forum by only 2 or 3 people
same happens with the rest of tihngs i defend in my life. freedom for the basque country, a socialist country with real same rights for everyone, normalization of the basque language, equality for all the races, for man and woman, good teaching, good science etc.....all this need a revolution to be rally changed and i know is hard.
utopys can never been reach, but it works for advance.
i link sex with religion and culture, because in our lives all is related to the culture.
each's culture influences in everything in his life, even in the science wich is supossed to be more "objective".
the sex itself is what is it, it is an objetive thing, but our way to see it, to see the relations between the people is ruled by our culture (and religion, because most of the humans are religious).
i know a sexual revolution (both in your way to see it or in mine) will not be possible globally. so i guess at least exposing it to your friends or people next to you is the only way to at least, let know there may be different ooptions than the "established". _________________

Word - I feel your stance. Well, I wish you luck and love on your revolutionary journey
Last night I taught a class of teenagers that thought HIV/AIDS had a cure, and didn't even know what chlymadia was - makes me sad and also very angry...so as you can see, my revolution is a bit different at the moment.
Much love Inaki,

Yeah, I googled for it (as it's pretty difficoult to map the diseases's names from a language to another) and google suggested the other name, anyway I have understood what you were meaning _________________ I once had a 10 years of Travelling Without Moving celebrations banner here... |

Inaki and everyone else in this topic - I thought of you guys this weekend because I got an assignment to cover an event that is going to be here next weekend called SEXUAL FREEDOM DAY. It sounds like it is going to be something that many of you would be interested in. Obviously, you can't come to this one, but maybe you can contact the people about doing this on sort of thing in your city or country if you are interested in sexual repression. Here is a question I asked of the Director about the event and their organization:
What can participants expect to get out of this event?
Ricci Levy: I think that participants will gain an understanding of the broad issue of sexual freedom and how critical that particular human right is to many of the issues in our country today – from reproductive choice, to freedom of speech, to comprehensive sexuality education, to even the ability to engage in various forms of sexual expression between consenting adults.
Here is the website if you are interested in more info: www.woodhullfoundation.org
Sounds interesting and I'm just doing a pre-write up since I can't go. Anyway, contact them if interested in the topic more as it relates to a movement.
