Lucky bastards! I have to drive around in this:
Before I can have an exam I have to have 30 hours of driving experience with an instructor... It takes forever! Im curious, how does it work in other countries?
Love to all future drivers

With us in the Netherlands...
They have split up the how you get you license in 2 parts
Ofcourse you have to take lessons, and some need more than others
With the lessons they teach you how to turn the car and stuff.
You then take your FIRST exam, the exam that looks if you can do the things like turn a car, park the car....
If you pass that exam, you can take the SECOND exam. That is just simply driving..
If you ask me, i took it when there was just 1 exam, splitting it up is just money in the bank for instructors and other ppl!
And without license......you are not allowed to drive.
When you finnally have your most wanted pink card (no more paper, a card) you get a learners license. what means, the police can take it away easier. If you speed to often, they can and will take it away.
Also the alcohol levels have to be lower than ppl with a normall license.
That last one is a rule i can live with....no alcohol and driving! _________________ May you always feel the wind on your face and the waves on your toes |

Today is a tragic day in Luxembourg!
The alcohol level while driving has been lowered from 0,8 millilitres alcohol per litre of blood to 0,5 millilitres. And young drivers, those who have their license 2 years or less, are only allowed 0,2 millilitres. _________________

Hmmm you better never travel here intoxicated!
Our level is i believe standard 0,2.
And i know 0 is impossible because of some illnesses but please no drinking and driving! _________________ May you always feel the wind on your face and the waves on your toes |

First of all, here the car I usually drive:
A Renault Scénic with a 2 litre 140hp engine
Second, DiscoStu's quote. There's a saying here in Luxembourg:
En Auto fiert net mam Führerschäin mee mat Bensinn!
A car doesn't run with the driving license but with petrol!
I knew some people who drove regularly without having a driving license at the age of 16 years [youngest unaccompagnied car driver's age here is 18] through the daily traffic.
But don't think now those guys were my heroes. _________________

(she had a back injury and my dad had no time...so they made me drive.
