Ooops!
I've just checked if I made a contribution to this thread, and I've found out that I didn't. So it's about time to introduce me. I think I haven't introduced myself here on Jamirotalk, because I thought everyone here reads JPP too.
Here what I wrote on a 28th of May 2005 on JPP:
| Quote: |
Hi all!
My real name is Änder, I'm male, 27 years old and I'm from Luxembourg.
I dig Jamiroquai's music since "Too young to die" was aired on the radios. I agree with lots of people here, that the older Jamiroquai albums, especially the three first, are far better than the two last. And after listening to "Feels just like it should" I guess the upcoming album won't be such a masterpiece as "Return of the Space Cowboy".
To get back to my own person, I'm momentarily unemployed, still live at my parents', like good food and beer, listen especially to jazz and jazz-related music (like fusion and funk), speak five different languages (that's quite common here in Luxembourg), am a scout leader and like to play "Civilization 3" on my computer.
Greetings,
Änder, alias ophone, from Luxembourg |
Some things have changed in the meantime. First of all I don't live at my parents' anymore but in a flat of the Luxembourg-City borrough of Cents. I'm turning 30 in November. I'm unemployed again, after having worked in a kitchen. I'm no scout leader anymore and I play the Beta-version of Warhammer Online now.
By the way I forgot to say that I really like Frank Zappa and Incognito (which I was fortunate to see this year at Kaiserslautern/Germany) too.
The bitterst part of my life is that I went 4 times through psychiatries, because I lived through a psychosis, due to cannabis abuse or a genetical dysfunctionment, neither me nor my shrink can tell. But don't worry about this, I'm well at the moment with the proper medication. Only problem is that I have difficulties to find a decent job now, first of all because I "only" have an A-level, and big blanks in my CV due to the disease I lived through.
But as I said, don't worry, I'm feeling fine since more than 2 years now!
Finally I hope you guys aren't angry I didn't introduce myself earlier here. _________________

Ophone - I'm impressed, and empassioned by your attitude. No wonder there is instant affinity between all of Jamily.
BTW - my husbands' family have a holiday cottage in Remich, I haven't been to Luxi for many years sadly. I love it there.
Aba gabar Melanie !!!
Welcome to you both Melanie, Ophone and all the other new additions to Jamily on Jamirotalk. I've not been here for a long time, and I've been even further from JPP, but not too far from Jamily.
And I have to put my basic info here too, I'll get around to it, and some big pics on the appropriate thread. |
