You all should definitely check out this new duo (guitar/vocals, turntables) from Alabama, US (of all places!). They're called called "Boombox". I just saw them in Minneapolis a couple of weeks ago and they were excellent! Here's their myspace page to listen to some tracks - http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=34834241 - though I would definitely recommend buying their album and listening to the track "Tonight". Also some great old school soul/funk coming out of Brooklyn, NY right now under the Daptone label... yeah!! its an amazing video... btw, I had the chance to see Daft Punk in Mexico City in the tour Alive and gig was AWESOME... The light show they have is fantastic!!! here's a video I fount in youtube... though not from the gig in Mexico, its a bit the esence of the concert... hope u enjoy it!
