New Years message from Jay... [Posted on 11.01.2008]
Happy New Year. Thankyou to all the people who sent me birthday wishes, you're very kind. We have begun writing a new album which I am very excited about. Keep an eye on the site for updates and we hope to post some visual clips soon. Stay tuned.
Lots of Love,
Jay x

This is so darn great, I simply can't believe it! Not only we're gonna get a new, fresh, and (as time passes, more and more certainly) completely old-school album, we're also gonna get updates in the form of video clips, which I think should provide us with a decent amount of insight into the whole recording process of this album! Brighter days for this band are a-comin'!

Great to see elusive J pop out of the woodwork and wish us all a happy new year and let us know about the new album, thanks mate . Cheers!
Foaming at the mouth for a studio version of "Cannabliss" for new LP,

I thought you knew they ditched it in its early stages and reworked the intro into the beginning of COTE. Oh, and now that they've got their creative contol back, it's gonna be a double LP, just like in the old days. (Hopefully...) |

Hello again,
Hmmm, maybe for the live remodified version of "Corner Of The Earth" Intro but I would just bet they resurrect this one for the new album sessions, maybe as a "proper B-Side" . Cheers!
Sincerely,

This is amazing news The one song I would truly love to have on the next album would be that song which goes by the unofficial title of "Midnight Funk". I listen to those 14 seconds of heaven repeatedly and I always wish I could hear the whole thing! I'd love to have the new album be old-school acid jazz mixed with some bossa nova vibes like "Midnight Funk". _________________ If it ain't no natural law, then you can keep your regulations. You're idealistic, Knjaz... Those musicians on the first albums are already history, Matt and the guys brought their own influence into the band, which is far from that old-shcool sound... But I'm also happy that we can expecz some new material in the near future . |

Well, from what I know, $ony have been Jamiro's greatest musical influence since 1998. True, it might not be that kind of oldschool the band will go to, but I can sense that the band will go through a period that will be to them pretty much what the Mwandishi period was to H. Hancock. Something very far from the roots, but still very close to them in a strange way. |
