"“August Rush” tells the story of a charismatic young Irish guitarist (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) and a sheltered young cellist (Keri Russell) who have a chance encounter one magical night above New York’s Washington Square, but are soon torn apart, leaving in their wake an infant, August Rush, orphaned by circumstance. Now performing on the streets of New York and cared for by a mysterious stranger (Robin Williams), August (Freddie Highmore) uses his remarkable musical talent to seek the parents from whom he was separated at birth."
i really liked that movie...it´s about music, guitars, kids, love..
only for people who love to dip into a world of fantasy and magic

I saw The Great Debaters yesterday and it is FANTASTIC. I might just see it again.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0427309/
The film, based on a true story, revolves around the efforts of debate coach Melvin B. Tolson (Denzel Washington) at historically black Wiley College to place his team on equal footing with whites in the American south during the 1930s, when lynch mobs and Jim Crow laws abounded. The Wiley team eventually succeeds to the point at which they are able to take part in a debate with Harvard University. _________________ www.dee34.wordpress.com

Yesterday I've seen "Sweeney Todd" with J.Depp and actually I'm amazed!
Johnny seems to be talanted in everything! Acting and even singing!

I recently watched some Roberto Benigni films, "The tiger and the snow", "Pinocchio" and "The monster" (which I saw already some several times before).
I just have to say that those films are great, and if you want to watch them, watch them in Italian if possible! _________________

I am really sick with a cold or allergies, so going to watch lots of movies in the bed over the next couple of days.
Last night I watched, 'This is England'....that movie was haunting and creeped me out. About non-racist skinheads vs. racist skinheads in England in the 1980's. I don't know if I recommend that.
I am watching 'The Secret' tonight, along with '2 Days In Paris' and another documentary.
I am really excited to see 'The Secret' based on what Mouse and Sandra say! _________________ www.dee34.wordpress.com |
