agree deesh,
im not saying she shouldn't have brought the album out - it's the best of the year! Im questioning if she had the resolve to follow it through and especially with that no-mark boyfriend on the scene.
When you bring an album out nowadays you must be mentally & even physically strong enough to support it. Obviously Amy now isn't.

I agree!
They were supposed to release FRANK here in September, but cancelled it.

I agree!! totally... it's such a shame she has a really unique voice.. I like it, it's great..
Russ, if you want to see the latest concerts including Birminham.. just visit my favourite place!!!.. Youtube. of course!!.. there are loads of new footage.. This one link here ..It starts of great then.. it takes a dive bomb.. i watched it and just thought.. WTF is she doing?? she stops to blow her nose or something..?? maybe she had a cold??.. then she has a little sit down rest.. wasn't sure if she was going to get back up.. oh well.. ?
Whatever.. it's something to behold, a very "special" performance, that's for sure!

Amy Winehouse made our newspapers poll of top albums of 2007. BTB was #7 and I got to write this little diddy. Our staff is very indie rock, pop-ish, so the list kind of reflects that, so I'm surprise Amy got snuck in...Deesh

While Amy Winehouse is a hot, troubled mess — as I type this, the drugged-out bag of bones is chillin' in a London jail — the brilliance of her U.S. debut can't be denied. Her formula, mixing retro sounds with emotionally accessible lyrics, is infectious. Out of that mangled beehive came commercial hits like overplayed "Rehab" and the Ghostface-laced "You Know I'm No Good," which balanced out lesser-known gems like hip-swaying "Tears Dry on Their Own" and ballad "Love is a Losing Game." Hate on her publicly if you want, but be for real — you know Back to Black is a dope (no pun, no pun) ass album.

Ah, I didn't write you this yet:
I've bought my girlfriend the "Back to Black" album with the bonus CD for Christmas.
I just wonder why I didn't buy it for myself, because it's quite good and the bonus CD is just awesome with some reggae and ska rythms.

That's because TEARS uses the music from MOUNTAIN. Just different lyrics and melody, same arrangement. Ashford and Simpson are credited in the Back To Black liner notes for the song

I don't have much good to say about what I have heard from Amy Winehouse, it just dosen't do anything for me.
Didnt she get booed off stage at one of shows??? |

maybe because she was "down" a bit again??
i think she won´t become very old.. 
the music she makes is great, no doubt for me..maybe she couldn´t bring it live because of personal reasons .

Yeah, I think in England. More than one, I believe.
She's a rumored and I believe heroin addict, so until she gets that sorted out, she needs to stay off the stage. It is embarrasing and I am happy she cancelled her tour.
However, when I saw her twice (2 nights in a row), she was phenomenal. I did a review somewhere, which is in this thread.
She is no Sharon Jones, but I dig her despite the tabloids. It is fun and trendy to hate on Amy, but her writing and voice came along at the right time for me. Both albums to me are nearly flawless!

Anyway, something is fishy about this..why would you film yourself smoking crack or why would you let someone film you smoking crack?
Unless of course, she really was so out of it that she didn't know or didn't care.
Regardless, I still remain faithful to her music. I mean, if I judged her or stop being a fan or artists because of the drugs...then, well....
