I believe it! They can be quite disrespectful and cruel at OKP, but very honest. _________________ www.dee34.wordpress.com |

Let's stop for a minute: how do they have the basis to act like this? I mean who contributed more to neo-soul then Erykah? She's the alpha of this whole thing what we call neo-soul, she's a blessed artist and a charming person. Baduizm and Mama's Gun are historical albums, the holly grails of neo soul, but Worldwide Underground is still a masterpiece and Honey is keeping up the level. We all should be thankful to her for sharing her thoughts and music with us... |

Not so sure about the new album yet. Only 2 songs off of it caught me - 'Honey' and 'The Healer/Hip-Hop'. Gotta give it some more listens. Everyone is talking about how the production is what makes it really dope...
We'll see how I feel about it after a few more spins, I guess. _________________ www.dee34.wordpress.com |

its a good album but nothing like honey, i see it as more hip-hop than neo soul.
Stand out tracks are :
Honey
Solider
The Cell
Telephone
Me and
Amerykahn Promise
But how cool would it be if she did another live album!! like baduizm |

Yeah, everyone knew the album was going to be hip-hop, not neo-soul. Erykah stated that when she started working on it. Plus, looking at her roster of collaborators for this album, it was obviously going to sway in the hip-hop direction.
Oh, and I think I'm taking my mom to see her for Mother's Day! Erykah will be here again. She loves Philly _________________ www.dee34.wordpress.com |
