Ummm......
OK, I'm a little late on this, but anyways.
A few days ago I got a copy of the Jazz Cafe DVD, and I just saw it for the very first time in the best quality: I LOVE this gig, I love the energy, the atmosphere, the musicians and even the 'rockier' songs like Black Capricorn Day and the version of Use The Force. The band sounds GREAT. Canned Heat is just perfect!
This is how Jamiroquai should sound like, with the full set of instruments, the brass section and the backing singers, its the perfect mix of the Jamiroquai of all the eras.
PS: For the """""new Jamiroquai""""" haters out there, I suggest you to watch and hear this DVD like I did, and perhaps you can clear your head with that '94/'96 Jamiroquai cr@p and stop being such negative dorks! (in a nice way )
Nuff said from me! "off to bed"

A friend of mine, after having watched this gig, told me that he wasn't expecting to see jmq performing so great after 1997. So yeah maybe it's a good hint for nostalgic jmq fans _________________ I once had a 10 years of Travelling Without Moving celebrations banner here... |

It is one of my favourite jamiroquai dvd's. And the fact that I was there makes it even more special. I totally agree with D: the band is in top form, with brass AND backing singers. Excellent! And I think Paul's doing a great job. |

Paul's the man
I really like the band as it is now, the brass section is a needed improvement.

sadly the BEST song of the gig, both musically and visually wasn't broadcasted at tv, but i recommend you all to syncronize a good source of audio and the internet broadcast of if i like it i do it and look from quite far from the screen, delicious! _________________

I know I am late to the table on this, but is there a high quality Jazz Cafe concert to download? I have a new computer with the ability to actually download and hear a concert now. But I fear I am too late for this since it was over a year ago. I did find one, but it was very low quality.
I just love the songs (I had downloaded the audio) and really have listened to it non stop. It is funny too since I only really know the songs from the Jazz Cafe, Mean Fiddler and Scala gigs. We have a new radio station in town that plays Jamiroquai (and I have given them monetary support...they are non-commercial...they play stuff you never hear on commercial radio) and I hear the recorded versions and I hardly recognize some of them. I love the live versions, Jay's comments, the horn sections, the jamming.
If anyone can help me on this, it would be much appreciated.
Susaleenah a new fan who just loves this music! |

this is a petition to the audio/video rippers of the forum.
you know this gig is one of the bests in the jamiroquai live history and for some of us is very important because we were there and because it was a very very nice and unforgetable jamily night.
we have the very good quality FULL concert audio (wich includes all jay's comments and stuff between songs, wich together with the whole atmosphere is just superb) we also have good quality almost all songs in video but the comments are lost.
there is anyway a FULL low quality video of the gig, so here comes the my petition:
someone is able to mix the full lenght video with the top quality audio to make a video bootleg with the FULL gig?
thank you in advance _________________

I would usually agree to do this kind of things, since I love working with audio/video (not to mention it's my job), but considering what happened last week, I'll have to let someone else do it _________________

I wasn't planning to post anything today but I won't leave your question unanswered.
My main post about it is here (click).
I had promised in another forum I'd work on a video for a special occasion, and I got everyone's submissions, only to see my hard disk crash shortly after and losing everything in it. Now I'm afraid to promise anything else! _________________
