'Virtual Insanity' was written on the Toilet?!?
Hello,
Hope everyone had a nice weekend, mine was hectic as always . Read something funny on Funkin today definitely worth noting, about the where VI was written by JK during the TWOM sessions, here's a cut n paste from Funkin :
In an interview/article with Pete Winkelman, a once music executive who owns Linford Manor - where the album Travelling Without Moving was recorded, he recalls a story about how Virtual Insanity was written...
'Jamiroquai was in the loo downstairs when he wrote "Virtual Insanity". He hears all his tunes in his head and I could hear him singing it. So he went straight into the ballroom, which is where the main studio is, and told everyone what he wanted. That was in the last week of recording - it's the best track on the album [Travelling Without Moving], although "Cosmic Girl" isn't bad either.'
Now that has to be bizarre story of the day! The rest of the article (which is more about football/soccer than music) can be read at the Guardian newspaper website (LINK: http://tinyurl.com/2by5ln ).
Now that is some WEIRD STUFF innit ? Still an interesting read I guess, my comical side definitely has 'what could have JK ate to inspire this bathroom visit' flaring up ! Cheers!
Sincerely,

Yes it's really weird, I've read it today. Maybe I'll visit mine to win "The Grammy" _________________

Yes I recon Jay said in an interview he "wrote" at least the lyrics anyways, in a hotel while they were on tour in Japan.
