Ahh I like their new funk rock sound And it goes well with what a poster on the Stuart Zender forum said. That the new album would be rocky, but jazzy at the same time.
Can't wait !!! |

Wait a minute, I'm slightly confused. Why are the "session players" for jason kay (Jamiroquai singer) doing masterclasses under false pretenses? They have advertised themselves as "The band that brought you six multi platinum albums, a Grammy, an Ivor novello, and six MTV awards"?
It was the original band members who earned those awards. The new members had nothing to do with those awards and all the hard work that went into making jamiroquai what it became. For the people that went to the so called masterclasses...you have been robbed blind. They should NOT be doing shows advertising themselves in this way. |

Ok, here goes - here is my point of view.
First of all, they are not "session players"! They are Jamiroquai. End of.
Jamiroquai is a band. Regardless of whether the members are past / present, Jamiroquai still exists today. Therefore, the current members have just as much right to take the credit for Jamiroquai's past success. If the previous band members had stayed, perhaps Jamiroquai wouldn't exist today! The sleeve covers from each album always include thanks from Jay to his band, therefore their hard work NEVER went unnoticed! Jay and his management team are the ones who give the go-ahead for the band members to "advertise themselves in this way". If it's ok with him, it's ok with me!
Speaking for myself, I wasn't "robbed blind" as you don't even know the reason why I was there. Am sure others will also agree that they don't feel robbed by a band who makes exquisite music. _________________ Jamiroquai - it's stitched into the clothes that I wear... |
