Freak Power 2008
Due to this topic from 2004 I continue by this quote:

Norman Cook produced Freak Power (the band that toured with JMQ in the UK around 1997). I heard their album "Drive-Thru Booty" and it's fantastic and it features N.C. on the guitar and as a co-producer. Any more Freak Power fans round here?

This is not whole truth - Normen Cook IS original and founder member of Freak Power not the one who featured in it! And I have some new informations about this band. As you may know, shortly after Norman became popular as the Fatboy Slim, he left FP due to poor sales of their second album More of Everything for Everybody back in 1996/1997. So the band was near the ice. Until 2008. They had 2 concerts in February of this year in UK without Norman and because of half a Jazz Café club in London was full of Czech people and Ashley Slater, trombonist, singer and co-writer of FP songs are really good friend of Roman Holý Ashley was 3 weeks ago special guest of Monkey Business on one Awards show in Czech Republic (view photo below). There Ashley promised to us, that Freak Power will have concert in May 2008 WITH Norman! The date of this concert is actually established by the FP so we will definitely see. Freak Power are also planning to make a new album and Roman Holý will be the producer of it! Lots of people here in Czech Republic (mainly musicians of course) know FP as same as Jamiroquai because they were both leaders of Acid Jazz scene back in mid 90s!

I`m definitely looking forward to what will be done!

Interesting because I never found that name connected with Freak Power. On both albums as same as in re-united band is Jim Carmichael behind the drums...

(but I`m quite new in FP history so someone can inform me)

BTW. Stuart Zender and Simon Katz is in TOP Friends in thier MySpace profile (run by the bass player of Freak Power - Jesse Graham)

Please help US Jamirotalk to find one! Now I know that one must exist. Last Thursday, we had a little chat with Roman Holý and he told me he has 2 songs from live concert from the Norman Cook era in mid 90`s so we are looking for that one. Please would anybody who may help be so kind and ask his bootleg guru if exist one? It would be nice!

I have live at Taratata video in good quality (only Turn On, Tune In and Cop Out song) if anybody is interested...

So, here it is (you can watch & download it). I don`t know how long it will remain. YouTube deleted my account today (due to this video - Air Production copyright for Taratata shows, but I look through YouTube and there is plenty of Taratata shows without copyright like 2 months old with no problem so I don`t know why me? ...after only 6 hours online of this video)...
