This is more Mark Ronson, than Stuart Zender, but figured some of the RONSON fans might dig this...
FYI - Rhymefest is a rapper, so if you don't dig rap, this is PROBABLY NOT FOR YOU! xo
Mark Ronson presents Rhymefest - “Man In The Mirror” mixtape. It is free!

Michael Jackson makes his best album in more than a decade -- with a lot of help from Rhymefest
The Michael Jackson revival is in full swing. A 25th anniversary edition of “Thriller,” his biggest album, is scheduled for release next month, and Jermaine Jackson says there will be Jackson 5 reunion tour this year that includes his most famous brother. Bottom line is that Jackson is still an icon, despite a litany of tabloid indiscretions that would’ve crushed most careers and reputations.
But Jackson also hasn’t made much in the way of compelling new music in at least decade. And I doubt that any of the Michael-is-back projects will equal the artistic inventiveness (or the affordability) of the latest release from South Side rapper Rhymefest, who just released “Man in the Mirror (The Michael Jackson Dedication Album)” as a free download on his Web site, rhymefest.com. _________________ www.dee34.wordpress.com |

so there is two video versions of "Stop Me" on You Tube,
1. International Version
2. US Version
I personally just don't get it, I guess I just really don't like Daniel Merriweather. I just don't like his singing, and whole Justin timberlake vibe.
Of course the only thing that is good about that song is Stuart Zender.
I kind of get the approach to covering the Smiths song, but all Mark Ronson is really doing is adding a kind of hip/hop beat to it.
But the singing is just really horrible.
I actually did enjoy the international version of the video. Veru cool animation and such. better than the original. But still I just don't get what all the hype is about Daniel Merriweather. ?
It's just my opinion and it looks like about half of all the comments on you Tube or 50/50 about liking the song.
most are annoyed that Mark Ronson even choose to cover a Smtihs song at all.

im so glad i have a ticket for the Liverpool gig on 10th May, will let you know.
apparently it will be an indoor festival(platic trees & grass etc ) ran by the organisers of 'Bestival' which is held on the Isle of Wight every Sept. It is a Bandstand event sponsored by Corsa including other Dj's & acts such as 'The Cuban Brothers', 'The Troubadours', 'Kissy Sell-out', 'Rob Da Bank' (Mr Sunday Best himself ) & Mark Ronson himself dj'ing
Then the live act will be performed.

Another of Ronson's "guests" or artists he has recently worked with is Santogold who is featured on later with Jools this week.
She has previously written music for different artists for a while now and embarks on a solo project as she explains in this interview:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/later/shows/series32/episode06/santogold/
I will do my best to record her on tonights 'Live' show but if she doesn't appear then it will be on Friday's full show.
i know Deesh wil be interested in this one _________________

Okay, I'm not sure if you put this because a. she is from my area or b. you remember me saying I didn't like her music
Regardless, her album has gotten so much buzz and press here. I saw her live twice and that was enough for me.
HOWEVER
She is such a nice person. Mad chill, so cute, fun and just overall cool...it's just her music that wasn't for me!
Her video is cool though, especially when I put it on mute _________________ www.dee34.wordpress.com |

err - that will be 'a'
and your right too - her own stuff is average, after watching her last night so don't think i'll bother uploading.
What she did with Ronson was good though and what she has written for other artists is good too. _________________
