Eurovision Song Contest 2008
Well, well, well.
Russia has won.
And you know why? Because all the old Soviet republics have voted for each other. (By the way, the old parts from Ex-Yugoslavia did the same to each other.)
It's maybe time again every country has its "impartial" jury, so the best song can win again.
Or maybe the old western countries (+Israel) simply have to boycot the competition, as Luxembourg (5 time winner), Italy (2 time winner) and Austria (1 time winner) are doing it already.
Not as if I am angry an Eastern country has won, but please not this way!
(My favourite song this year was the Albanian one, Rosa liked the Israeli one.) _________________

Well ophone,
what can we do I think, this isn't song competition... this is the place where we see whose representatives are more .. and + little bit fans and we get = The Winner _________________

I never really watch it cause these past years the winner is always already chosen before the contest and you always know that it is a eastern country just boring .
What made me laugh was the fact that Germany got last place . Even Stefan Raab got 7th place some years ago . |

Well, you can't say this is the main reason. Russia participated in this contest 12 times before, but it's the first time it won.
Though, block voting makes it difficult for Western European countries to get points. I liked the UK entry, but it hardly got any vote. In this way Eurovision loses credibility in Western Europe, but gains immense popularity in Eastern Europe. So, the countries that boycotted the contest, probably, did the right thing. |

The Mafia is from Sicily.
In Puglia there is a similar movement, but it has a different name if I'm well informed. _________________
