JamiroTalk.net turning into J-Talk? (Commentary)
Greetings,
Well, I have been doing alot of thinking lately, I know, that sounds redundant. Well, count this is my first commentary...here it goes. I have noticed that the 'ere' of the discussions of the current JamiroTalk.net mirror the kind that is on the Official Site's 'J-Talk'. I what I mean is, that the all the "Jamiroquai" discussion has become centralized on fans rather than on discussions of everything Jamiroquai, that's the impression I got whenever I logged onto and comparing both of them. I mean, I remember back about oh, 2 years ago, during the latter half of AFO, all the posts were full of interesting discussion about Jamiroquai, it's bandmembers, their music and other stuff. But now, being stuck in a "inbetween album wait", the post quality has slipped a bit, going back to "inter member discussions" & taken a little trip away from Jamiroquai. But I guess this is what happens when the band is deep into a "new album", and can't devulge all the good bits to the fanbase. I mean, the BDC sample and video was a little vacation from that state, but it was only temporary. I'm not saying, that ALL the posts or discussions have been bad, of anything, they continue to be great and make all of us fans even closer knit and better friends. All I'm saying is, less comments posts, more meaty info Jam posts please. I hope you understand me, I don't mean to sound a bothersome fool, this is just something I have noticed, that has been on my mind for a while, and I had to voice it...or it would continue to be a gripe on my skull and become even worse. Thanks for everyone for having such understanding minds and for all being such precious friends to me. Take care, peace, and I invite everyone to leave their thoughts in a reply to this "commentary". Peace!
Your Friend,

Hello Jtalkers (hehe)
Well Brent, you're right... that's why I made The Jamiroquai Chronology, The Jamiroquai Journey Behind The Scenes, the Videos info, and all those long boring posts, the questions of my last topic (I know, but we can know more about the band in that way), I thought what you posted a long time ago, so that's why I tried to keep my posts with info...
Although we can't stop discussing and putting photos and talking about ourselves, remember that is also the International Jamiroquai Fan Discussion Forum, like the name of the site says, it is about fans, and we have to know each other too, and that's the reason why we have made (or at least me) so many friends this year. It may be the wait between the albums, yes, but we are fans who want to share our feeling about our favorite band!! Go Jamiroquai!!!!!

Brent i like your posts i really do,and i agree with you on this one only in aspect when you say that you notice that there is more talk about non_jamiroquai stuff, but i cant agree when you say that we should talk more about jami,we the fans are limited by sony, and jay kay because they are so lazy that they cant make an update on the official site, poor david rowe must gather all the information(btw he is god ),what the hell we should talk about when there is no news...i just hope that this will change...but in other hand i got to know some members of jamirotalk and made good friends...

when there's no important news, it isn't easy every time to start interesting discussions. but let's keep on trying! |

I understand what you're saying Brent and I understand your frustrations, but conversations will start being more jamiroquai based after the new album comes out and tour dates are posted(i can't wait!!), I guarantee it:) But for now, there's no harm in us talking to each other about each other while we wait. Besides, Jamiroquai is what brought us all here and most of us will still be here when the new album comes out. Can you imagine all of the great stories we're all going to have after going to the 6th album tour shows?!?! And some of us are even going to get to meet each other at the shows and share that with everyone here! If you're worried about Jamirotalk.net turning into lame-o Jtalk (not to offend anyone out there who talks on J-talk), you have nothing to worry about (I'm sure you know that already-just a reassurance). Everything will be alright and things will get jucier once the album is out. But for now all we can do is wait and still talk to each other--at least we're all still here and haven't lost intrest. And we got to download some great stuff in the process!! well, this is long enough, peace out:) _________________ This is our corner of the Earth |

Brent,
no offense dude, but you're a lil hypocritical (if I spelled that right) for sayin that. I think the side track conversations are mainly taking place in off topic where they belong. 2) You have authored a lot of those off-topic conversations (they're all good). 3) We have a lul in new album news. We're so desperate for new stuff right now that everytime Jay wears a new hat we post about it.
We will revert back to more Jam oriented posts once there's actually stuff to talk about. Until then do you really blame us (or yourself)? _________________ Wouldn't 'ya like... To walk the sunny avenues of life? |

Thank you all for your feedback
Greetings again,
Thank you all for your feedback, that rough patch that was in my head has past and now I'm back to normal now ! I didn't mean to sound so rough there initially, but when you have alot of mental blockage, you have to release in any way you can. I have been suffering some headaches lately, mostly brought on from personal related situations, but things have smoothed back out now. Thank you all again for your honesty and always been such great friends to me ! Peace!
Sincerely,

Brent,
I like the new banner, not quite as good as Jay huggin the banana, but still good. This will be the first year I will vote for a presidential canidate, not because I necessarily like him (John Kerry), but just because I hate Bush. That's a lot of people's stance this year: They don't like Kerry as much as they hate Bush. Kerry is a "lesser of two evils" candidate in my opinion. _________________ Wouldn't 'ya like... I'm right with you Jaminneapolis. I hate Bush soooo much, I don't know what I'm going to do if he gets elected again. I just hope more of our generation gets out there and votes!! (sorry to get offtopic, what were you saying about J-talk Brent?? kidding, sorry) _________________ This is our corner of the Earth |
