KOOP - jazz, dance, electronica (from Sweden)
Just got this album...I didn't think I would like it as much as I do..but I was wrong.

It is very light and beautiful. The electronica influence and excerpts are suddel. The vocals are very sweet and addictive. It has a bossa nova type feel on some songs like MOONBOUNCE. I suggest that one and I SEE A DIFFERENT YOU, which you can listen to here: http://www.giantstep.net/releases/1707/

More on KOOP:
KOOP is a true original, known for their groundbreaking sample-based amalgamation of jazz, dance, and electronica. Koop Islands sees Simonsson and Zingmark absorbing the influence of the classic Big Band sound of the Twenties, Thirties, and Forties to create an inimitable groove they call "Swingtronica." Joining KOOP on their remarkable musical journey are a number of guest vocalists including Hilde Louise Asbjornsen (featured vocalist for the U.S. tour as well as a featured recording artist and co-lyricist of "Strange Love" from Koop Isands), Yukimi Nagano, Mikael Sundin, and ex-Galliano frontman Rob Gallagher (all of whom appeared on Koop Islands), as well as the acclaimed Norwegian singer-songwriter Ane Brun.

Among the many highlights of Koop Islands is the syncopated "Come To Me," featured earlier this year on an episode of ABC's blockbuster Grey's Anatomy. The track was included on the recently released "Grey's Anatomy Original Soundtrack 3" and was also used in a series of ABC promos from early April through the May sweeps. In addition, the tracks "Let's Elope" and "Koop Island Blues" can be heard on FX's Nip/Tuck and the trailer for the Pandemic Studios videogame, Saboteur, respectively.

I have one of their songs called "Summer Sun". They sound really nice, but I can't seem to find any of their albums anywhere. I just got that one song.

Just checked these guys out (I only really knew of Relaxin At Club F****n or whatever it is that's on pretty much every chillout compilation going around)...

and maaan, the jazz factor is massive with these guys - kinda different to what I expected.

It's like cocktail lounge jazz - easy stuff to get your head around. Wink

I love that song too, especially the remix of Marcus Enochson on the album Waltz for Koop.
