Ah, ah, ah
No you won't MMcF !
It will be even more complicated, as you will have to choose between 6 instead of 5. |

yeah, i probably would! after all, i am the one, who buys four different versions of a maxi-single, just to get all the remixes... _________________ Dear Auntie Em. Hate you, hate Kansas, took the dog. Dorothy. x |

My Favorite Jamiroquai album!
Hello everyone, :jay4:
Great first poll question, if I wonder right, this question is asked on the Official Site's J-Talk like every week in attempt to raise some conversation, but lately J-Talk has been as barren as Jay Kay's love life! Anyway, I digress, my fav Jamiroquai would be...(Rubs chin and looks around thinks a bit)...well, it's a tie between "EOPE" & "ROTSC"...but I would go with "EOPE": The album that burst acid jazz back into the forefront of British music, I really wish Jam would do their future 6th album in the old skool Acid Jazz/Funk, would make us oldy-but-goodie Jam fans happy! As for my fav songs on "EOPE", the tracks "Revolution 1993" and "When You Gonna Learn?" really stand out, especially "Revolution", talk a rare-never-ever-again-in-modern-Jamiroquai spitfire Stevie Wonderesque lyric spouting by a young and much wiser Jay Kay, a tightrope bassanimation of Stu, the rope-a-dope drumming of Van Gelder, the Wakeman of piano cutting off of Toby, and many others. But of course, that's my opinion, I could be wrong (A little homage to Dennis Miller!). Peace and keep up the great work of CosmicBear & Mouse!
Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000 |

Hi MMcF !
No, I was not trying to scare you.. just to tease you, as usual.
I would not buy a "Best of" either. What's the point when you already have all albums?
One can make his own private "Best Of" with copying the tracks on CD or cassette.
Actually I plan to copy not only one but several "Best of" .
One will gather the most known tracks,
another will have the most cosy-sensual-good night tracks,
the other one the dance tracks,
and then I plan one with the rocking tracks.
On the other hand, I can imagine that a "Best of" of Jamiroquai would sell well, although it would not be aimed at the fans.
CosmicBear, I remember having a conversation with you on Jamirotalk.net regarding how notorious Jami are or should be. (I was having a narrow and eclectic point of view, while you were standing for an enlargement of the fan base.)
Indeed, a "Best of" would enable non-Jami fan to get the most known tracks (like Virtual Insanity or WYGL) and have access to less known (but nevertheless mythical!) tracks like "Revolution". So that might lead non-Jami fans (= innocent people) to become Jami fans (= people consumed with the fire of passion).
Jamirofan2000, your accurate description of the songs and album of EOPE is what we need here on jamirotalk.net.
Maybe it would make sense to a open specific topic linked to "favorite Jami album" in which the members would give their appreciation / description on each album.

lolol@jamirofan! bless, ya me dear!
every jami album is good (in their own way!) & i have to say that......
.......i VOTED for "Return Of The Space Cowboy". this album is superb! it's superb both lyrically & musically! It's a masterpiece! i it, so much! Goddamn!!! Lol (please note: EOPE comes in as a close second, for moi!-lol)
ROSCB has memorable Jami songs on it. Just listening to the cd, gives me that nostalgic feeling! Roscb is simply amazing!
& "Stillness in time"-I always, always listen to this track, whenever I'm feeling depressed/sad! ... ..& the lyrics are real & meaningful, it makes me feel high!
Ooo & yes, how could I forget that musically beautiful song, "manifest destiny"!!! I truly this song, for it's lyrics, instruments, the whole arrangement, it's so beautifully put together! it's a MASTERPIECE.
The majority of the songs just shocked, captured & surprised me (when i first heard them!)
e.g. in "Just Another Story" , late in the song, mr derrick mckenzie just goes crazy & mad on his drums . The first time I heard it, I though, "what da ****? What was that? goddamn!" lol me is digging it, very much! lol
"Mr moon"-me digs this song very much, for it's percussions, the bassline (wicked or what?- esp. at the beginning, when the percussions & drums come in! very prominent! ) have you noticed (I'm sure you have!) that in the beginning, of this song jay's vocals are soft, calm & soothing & then it alerts & excites you at the same time! You know what I mean? It's also different when he sings the chorus!
"Return Of Space Cowboy"-this song makes you feel so good & free..makes you want to relax & just chill out!
these are some of my fave, fave songs on the ROSCB & i like the others too BUT these are the ones i listen to ALOT......ALOT! you (well, i can't!) can NEVER, NEVER get tired of jami songs, whenever i hear "Stillness In Time" etc...it still sounds as fresh & new as ever.
all of jami's albums are gr88, but it's ROSCB that does it for me! simply because of it's creativeness, authenticity & originality! it's a grr88 comeback/continuation from EOPE.
Laters.
