BBC Electric Proms 2008
It's here again with a pretty good line-up performing in different venues across London and this year Liverpool too. Very Happy

I have applied for some tickets to see 'The Last Shadow Puppets' along with the BBC Concert Orchestra on Thurs night - so fingers crossed!

The highlight though is undoubtebly 'Saturday Night Fever' on 25th Oct at the Roundhouse in Camden, London. Very Happy

Robin Gibb will be performing tracks from the album alongside various artists :-

i think it should be available to watch again on the website as before in previous years but i will make a dvd copy. Wink

Also this year - artists have been to Lagos in Africa to soak up some of the sounds and bring them back to London for a gig at the Koko club.

They include Damon Albarn, Mr Flea (from chilli peppers), Guitarist from The Magic Numbers, Tony Allan & Mr mmmmm Shola Akingbola!!!

pictures and a video of the trip to Lagos are here:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/electricproms/2008/artists/africaexpress/

Sola is in picture no.10 in the background and features in the promo video.

There was a performance of the set on interactive TV last night but i didn't record it and unfortunately it has been taken off, hopefully just for now Confused

It featured many diverse African sounds and included Sola doing some nifty work on the drums Very Happy This is closely related to the work he has been doing with his other band but is a one off.

it can be listened to here for 6 days here:

No - but that was 2 years ago and there is other music to appreciate besides Jamiroquai although they are excellent we know and bring us all together on here Smile

The Last Shadow Puppets video is now available on the site or 'Red' button.

They played with the BBC Concert Orchestra and some people may know Alice Hall who is a 'Very' big Incognito fan Wink played violin for this event. Smile

The Saturday Night Fever project went down well and there are photos available on the site with video coming soon.
