Just tell me if here is a person who don't want to attend private Jamiroquai concert and won't blast with emotion next day that he/she was in VIP JMQ concert Wink

I also agree with Deesh and Fra..even if it's true I'm much more interested when is a FANS gig..but that's me.
On the other hand don't we (almost all exept few luckies) do everyday things we don't like/believe in/ etc. just for money?? I do a work I like with ppl I can't stand and totally dislike...but I put up my best smile from 9 to 5 monday to friday and keep my thoughts about them for myself, I believe they do the same, plus they love what they do and I think is hard to miss the chance to do something one loves.

You can't compare a broadcasted event (shot for MTV) during the promotion of an album & a tour with those VIPs events...
That makes all the difference...

To answer to your post, if they want money, they just have to do regular gigs... What I found pathetic is that kind of pics:

And last but not least, I attended to a huge lot of Jamiroquai gigs, including promotional one: the band did a poor gig, & Jay didn't even smile for 1h30... But I'm sure they enjoyed this party... Rolling Eyes

Doc -

Thank you so much for standing your ground. Your passion is great.

However, it isn't as simple as just doing a 'regular gig'. Truth and reality is they no longer have that SONY money to fund tours anymore. Flying, feeding, transportation, sound, lighting, venue and all of that costs money, lots of money. Jay has to pay people, mainly the people in the band who have to feed their families and pay their bills. They haven't put out an album in several years as well.

Do you know how much a gig pays? Do you know how much a gig costs?
Are promoters even running out to book Jamiroquai?

The band's price might be out of many promoters price range. The music business is in the toilet because the economy is in the toilet. Downloading, along to accessibility and saturation are ruining music. In music, a lot of times - it takes money to make money.

I hope that these gigs are affording Jay to pay for extras on the album, pay the band, and do some gigs next year. I hope it helping to pay for some of the crisp sound that we are expecting. Because then the money will come in for other things - like a tour.

Jay has always loved cars, so that picture is expected to me. Lastly, again...none of us know the particulars of why they are doing this gig and really, I don't see it as my business. I think your opinion is your opinion and you have every right to it though. I'd love to see jamiroquai do gigs with the same electricity, vibe, and cause of 1993 or even 1995, but I'd also like to fit into the jeans I wore when I was 20.....LOL - times do change.

Just give me music that my feet can dance to...everything else is well, not important to me anymore. I'm 30...maybe 5 (even 2-3) years ago I would have cared, but eh....Wink

but they can show their appeals only they have.
or my feeling changed quite abit.
i dont want to compare 2008gigs with superb ex-gigs anymore. Show the tongue
anyway,im looking forward to new CD. 5apple
