I haven't either, though I'm not going crazy or saying nonsense stuff. I'm happy for those who got the luck to meet him and listen. I'm pretty sure you're envious of them and you just don't accept that you wasn't there... Come on, why didn't you just wait to see what the guys who were there had to say about the tracks instead of arguing. I'm really sorry for saying this but your posts in this topic turned it from a nice and memorable one into a redundant garbage.
Let's try to go back on the main focus of this topic...
I want to know more of you about these demos!!! _________________ At the speed of cheeba, you and I go deeper... |

Hey there p3rpleXdS0u1, I thought I might as well mention that I agree somewhat with your thoughts about the latest material from Jamiroquai . Personally I don't get my hopes too much up when another album comes out from JMQ, with all due respect to the band.
A Funk Odyssey actually had great potential IMO, but for a drumming enthusiast like myself the rythm section left a lot to be desired. I think however that AFO has some brilliant remix material (feels so good knee deep). As for dynamite, well... some tracks were good, but some completely let the team down.
I would like to stress that I respect the opinions of fans who dig the new stuff , but I certainly empathise with other oldschool fans. The groove just doesn't seem to be there anymore, and I accept the fact that the days of an 11 piece acid jazz band are gone . For this reason I don't usually listen to anything from them past 1998.
At least JMQ didn't get as watered down as the heavies did . All the best for the fans who will enjoy the next album. As for the rest of us, well we have our bootlegs. _________________ Bass to jazz.... j-j-j-jazz to bass... |

Hi there, I'm new here. A long time fan of JMQ, but I'm not so active online.
So is there any news on the new album? Title, date, audiopreviews, anything?
Can't wait for the new album and tour! |

Hi Mz,
there are some topics where you can learn that a new album is estimated for May/June+ release. The information comes mainly from Jamiroquai bandmembers when they've been asked for it in different occasions - the last being conversations with Jamirotalk members and bandmembers during private Audi promoting performances held in Germany. Any titles or dates are not given, nor official audio previews. Some lucky people got into a same car with Jay and got to hear some new material (though afterwards it has been said that the material might have been developed again during the recording process) but that has not been recorded/bootlegged anywhere. The band is keeping the new songs carefully private, so nothing of the new material has been played anywhere live. _________________ kite carrier (geuze)

Thanks for the information! I've read this whole topic, but didn't find out that it was estimated for may/june. It'll be great if they go on tour during the festival season next year. Will keep an eye on this forum for more details. Thanks! |

Well, lets hope they do a more "extensive" US tour. Last time I had to fly down to San Francisco! The tix were cheap but flying aint cheap anymore!
Looking forward to hearing horns. Maybe even some flugel? I did dig the soprano sax on Talulah. Some Trumpet, Flugel, Bari, Tenor, and Flute would be tight! More jazz progressions too, please...
Anyways, jealous of those that heard the Demos (if people have? I'm not sure how you even go about that...), but looking forward to a release soon! Hee-Yaa! |
