Hello J-Team!
Just thought a few of you may like the latest mix I've uploaded on Wax DJ, it's a lot more soulful than the Foolin' Around series which I know has received a lot of love here (thanks!).
The 4th mix in this series is totally Acid Jazz - see if you can identify some of the tracks. Have fun!

Hi there CJ, great mix! Really digging the tracks, though I don't know most of them. In fact the only one I recognise is Incognito's "Change". So I'm givin' up on working out the tracklist  . Brilliant stuff, thanks heaps for your hard work  .

Another root-around in the depths of my Acid Jazz collection but hopefully not too deep this time. Picking up were we left off in Part 1, I've taken the tempo up slightly in this mix. It should have a slightly more familiar feel to it (I hope) so enjoy the music and have fun identifying the track list.

Whoops I must have missed something, I'll listen more closely. Downloading the second part, cheers .
Care to post the two tracklists, if that's not too much trouble? I love this stuff, but I'm guessing that most of the artists arn't very well known. I really like the more fresh, organic sounding acid jazz, not so much the heavy drum machine stuff. Thanks again  .
Edit: yep I recognise "better days", though it's not on my copy of positivity, as it's the US release. Doesn't have "still a friend..." accapella either. And apparently the uk version has a differnet version of Givin' it up. I also recognise the heavies' "bang" on the second mix. Great track  .

Hey CJ - I'm about to download these today. Thank you so much! I won't play the game because I'm not an expert on acid jazz as a whole, but I'm sure the mixes are dope and I will love them like the rest. Hope the little one is well!

Ah sweet feelings! What else can I say . Reminds me of happy times in my life.
Some Galliano would be nice. Listen to their album "A joyful noise to the creator", one of history's heavyweight acid jazz albums.
Also look out for oldschool drum breaks from Bernard Purdie, the most recorded drummer in history (and incidentally my drumming hero ).
He is considered one of the artistds who inspired the acid jazz sound.
