Any Mac Users here?
It's about a month I'm a proud owner of a 24" iMac.
I'm quite surprised how performant Mac OS is compared to Windows. No more blue screens and stuff like that, hehe.

Well, as the title says, are there any other Mac Users here on the Forum?

That's the spirit!

(If only I could convert my laptop computer into a Mac, although it's even good under Windows.)

...but you can get a FREE (and wonderful!!!) new version of UBUNTU, the last release: Ubuntu 9.04 >>> http://www.ubuntu.com/

It is really powerful and fast as never before, and also easy to use for a newby!
You'll never come back to winZozz after this...

Like Laura said, you should try Linux for sure.

Linux is, like MacOSX, based on the BSD kernel. But, despite MacOSX, it's FREE SOFTWARE! It means everyone can use Linux without paying, because it's maintaned by the community.

And almost every software running under Window$ has an equivalent for Linux Wink

you should try Cedega then Wink

I played for a while Warhammer Online... I preferred World of Warcraft, but now I'm free from MMORPGs!

Exclamation

I know, we're getting off-topic here, but I have to comment Manu's post:

Warhammer Online is more PvP based than World of Warcraft, that's why I prefer Warhammer Online.
Besides I used to play a game from the same company, called Dark Age of Camelot and I was a Beta tester for Warhammer Online.
I know most of my guildies for more than 3 years now. We even meet on a regular basis in "real life", that's why it's very hard for me to stop playing Warhammer Online, although there are plenty of bugs in it.

Yeah, I know it. Lived the same situation for my guildies in WoW. But I used to be the Guild Master of a raiding guild (I always preferred PvE), it was evolving such to a work rather than simply having fun. This is why I dropped it off Smile

But with CEDEGA you can play almost every Window$ game using Linux.

i've been a proud mac user for... emmm... 15 years now?!

currently my newest toy (provided by my employer) is the new 17" macbook pro. soooooooooo shiny!!!!!

also have a 24" iMac (which i'm probably going to sell though)

ophone, how much ram does your baby have? i would recommend to max out the ram on your machine and then install windows via bootcamp. I have to run windows for a couple of software that is only available under windows or the mac versions are not good enough (yes, that does happen! HEHE) and never had a problem. my iMac has 4 gig of ram and the macbook has 8 gig and windows vista runs smoothly as anything on both machines. and with bootcamp and the software apple provides you get to access all the things that are build in in your mac like the isight camera and all the network stuff. so you can play warhammer without problems...

Indeed, my iMac has 4 GB RAM and Boot Camp runs on it without a problem! Wink

But I'd still prefer to run Warhammer Online on Mac OS X than on Windows.
