My cat Jason when was 3 years old ate a leave of a female plant in my garden!
My bro used to grew up some plants just for personal use. We punctually got the answer from the animals, they always choose females 
Anyway, Jason went constipate for around 1 month after the "snack" but nothing more, fortunately the percentage of THC is only 0.5/1% for leaves (...and 3,7% for flowers  ).
